A Houston family was featured on FOX26 news for the tight grocery squeeze that many people are feeling lately. They happen to be a homeschool family and the reporter mentions that they are; "uncommonly equipped to contend with scarcity." Thanks for sharing that link. I always wanted a huge pantry like that, but it does look kind of sad when it's so empty. At least my tiny hutch and cabinets still look pretty full even when they're half empty! LOL
Good news segment. It was sad seeing her pantry near empty. Their faith and resourcefulness was an inspiration. We feel the pinch and we are just a family of four.
The only thing that made me want to shake her was when she said she gets laons to make ends meet, then pays them back on payday..... So essentially she is in a loop where she makes less and pays more.... (Because she keeps less of her wages by giving them to the loan companies..) Wish I could help her get out of that loop.
It is nice to see a hsing family in a positive light (ya all know how these reports usually go with the mention of hsing...). I know the subject of the report wasnt "positive" but that family put a wonderful example of a Christian hsing family! Thanks soooo much for sharing Jen!!

yeah I caught that too and shook my head. If they keep that up they will sink real fast. Otherwise nice segment. I agree. I am way more careful what I buy now. Many items are just getting too high.
