Anyone doing anything fun to study/celebrate this day?!? Any fun websites out there that I may be missing?!? We love St.Patrick's day with all the green & clovers. We'll be putting up our green lights next weekend!!!
Live and Learn Press has a free St. Patrick's Day lapbook. You have to join the yahoo group to get the freebies, and finding them on the site is a challenge. It might be something for you.

I'll have a freebie up at my site (March 1st) about Irish Immigration in America plus some fun stuff for the little ones.
Cool... I know it's a little early... but never hurts to start thinking about it. We did the coffee filter shamrocks last year. We may try them again this year...hopefully our colors will mix better!!!
I've put my St. Paddy's Day stuff up here. There is a coloring book for little ones and a unit study on Irish Immigration in America for like grades 4 and up - 3rd might be able to do it with help. Enjoy!
We usually don't do anything for it, and my g'ma's name was Milligan! I LOVE Irish music, so my kids might be subject to child abuse (in THEIR opinion, at least!) when they are forced to listen to "P stands for Paddy, I suppose; J for my love John!" or "She is handsome, she is pretty; she's the belle of Belfast city...." or "...no maid I've seen like my fair Colleen that I met in the County Down...."
we do corn beef and cabbage with red potatoes, can have green beer with it.. had green food coloring. for breakfast we have green eggs, and ham with green milk. we are Irish here... so go all out....
A little Irish here as well. We put up green lights all over the house (bought for 50 cents a box after Xmas), we do a bunch of St. Paddy's crafts, wear green, we do green pancakes, of course go get SHAMROCK SHAKES!!!! Ah... I LOVE THOSE & now the lil ones do as well. Already asking when do we get to have those!!! My is sends the lil ones a Paddy's day card & $5 so we can go get SHAMROCK SHAKES.... (they are regional I guess) her hubby's never heard of them or had one!!! Man he doesn't know what he is missing!!!
Apparently they have an entire website devoted to helping people find a SHAMROCK SHAKE! Looks like we have them in our area - now I want one!
Oh, that will work nicely for us!!! St. Patrick's Day is on a Tuesday, which is the day we pack a lunch and we're out and about anyway. It seems there's a lot in this area, so we'll go through the drive-thru and get four.
I think I may have to call our local McDs to see if they have them yet. Nothing beats a Shamrock Shake & french fries... I know not good for the diet!!! LOL!!! UPDATE: WOOOO HOOO WE ARE HITTING MCD'S TODAY!!! LOL!!!!
I found this site... if you haven't used already with lots of coloring & different worksheets. http://www.schoolfamily.com/print-and-use-tools/category/83-st-patricks-day-worksheets
