I didn't think Reagan would EVER learn to use the toilet! We have tried off and on for over a year! Starting the beginning of this year I started trying to get him into underwear and on the toilet every Monday. He has faught every step of the way.. he was terrified of the toilet!! I kept some hope.. I really wanted him out of diapers before our new baby was in them.. but I was starting to lose all hope that it would happen... well guess what... this week HE DID IT!!!! What a relief!! He is so proud of himself now too which is great! He is even waking up with an almost dry diaper!!!
HORRAY FOR REAGAN!!!!!and you too mama. I know what it's like to have a child that just doesn't want to potty train. My oldest was very much like that he finally potty trained somewhere around 3 or 3 1/2. My little one though wasn't even 2 yet when he did it...but I so understand the frustration! Congrats to you all. Sounds like Reagan deserves a sticker.....I just might have to send him one!
Thanks. He earned a hotwheels car that has hung on my bathroom wall for MONTHS now! Daddy was so proud he hung up a big truck.. his first day without any accidents h will earn the big hotwheels truck.. I think today is that day!
Gosh.. I know! I kept thinking there is no way I can tackle this now for a few months if we don't get it done before the baby comes. I also knew that if he saw the baby in diapers it may make things so much harder.
GOOD FOR HIM!!! A friend had one that was going consistently until the baby came. She fought with him for a while, and then finally she gave him a choice. "Are you going to be a Big Boy today and wear Big Boy underpants, or do you want to be a baby today with a diaper?" Whatever he chose for that day, she'd go. Also, having him run around bare-bottom helps, too!
lol.. we tried to do the nudest thing.. he doesnt' like people to see his "winky"..lol. He is doing sooo good... just went running and I didn't even have to remind him!!!
Well, it's good that he has a little modesty! Can't say I blame him on that! I would put a LONG t-shirt on my kids at that stage, one that pretty much went down to the knees. But it sounds as if you don't need it right now!
Way to go Reagan, you have to be so proud of that little man, give him tons and tons of hugs. Wow that is so neat. Now that you trained him, can you come and train my MIL. I am done with it.
lmbo! It has a few other names in our house.. but the one that cracks us up the most is "hoo haa" for Rylee's girly bits..lol Has anyone ever seen the comercial for the "Two Times Tuesday" from Dominos??? "Can I get a Two Times Tuesday" and the guy walks in and says "Hoo Haa" We laugh every time.
