No matter what it is (or ever could be) it will never be as bad as my frustration and problems that arose when they were in public school.

I really wish we had that LIKE button! I would have pressed it multiple times for Sloan's comment! The one year my son spent in Christian School gave me far more frustration than anything I have hear at home!

The number of times I've spent money on some drool-worthy curriculum that's only gathered dust once I got it home. *sigh*

Worrying about my kids learning new concepts only to find out that they just needed more time. You'd think I'd learn. Maybe I just need more time.

My perfectionism gets in the way from time to time like over planning and frustrating MYSELF instead of taking the time to just enjoy it. But I must ditto the whole ps thing. I was much more stressed and frustrated with my kids in school, lol.

I think lack of support from the Inlaws; as they could offer so much in the way of knoweldge (ex teachers retired) but actually are against what we are doing and feels like they wasted their best years on other peoples children to enjoy and impart to their own grandchildren - they are so entrenched in the "established" schooling system that they think there is no other way.:cry::(

Also my lack of faith in my ability - I have daily struggles with my concience about not keeping a perfect house and always wish I could be more organised yet every time I try I still fall flat on my face....;) and then feel worse when I marvel and wonder how my friends seem to manage it.

Mine too! When we did what God showed us my ds needed to do according to His will and sent him out my kids who stayed homeschooling told me recently our whole world changed. IT effects the whole family.
I love having my kids home. Even now that I am down to one at home school and two graduated I think my frustration is always -- am I doing the best job I can to teach them to love learning and to learn more than they would have in ps, or private school. :?:

My perfectionism and worry about my son's future, when I should just simply trust God and let Him lead me. He is willing to lead me; I am not always willing to be led.
