Hi! I'm new here and this is our third year homeschooling. I've been homeschooling from the start, I have a 2nd grader (7yrs), K (5 yrs), and Pre schooler (3 yrs). I still feel like we are learning the ropes, but I feel pretty good with where we are at this year (although I'm going to be changing it up again soon!). I started out with strictly Charlotte Mason style and then added in some Classical and then we started doing lapbooks/unit studies. So we are pretty eclectic, but I try to incorporate a lot of CM/living books/handy crafts in our studies. I co-run an American Girl history club and I run a Boys Book Club too. We also found a great hs'ing Girl Scout troop and lots of field trips/other classes that go on in our area. We have a great bunch of hs'ing friends!
Holy Toledo! (couldn't resist) Sounds like you have some great stuff available to you there. Welcome to the Spot!
It was either that or a Klinger reference, which would either date me or give insight into my warped psyche.
Lol, we caught MASH just the other day!!! I didn't know they were carrying it on the "oldies" station. And Klinger was wearing his Mudhens jersey!
Good grief, you've covered a lot of territory in a couple short years! Glad to meet you, and I'd welcome you, but I don't have the right. I'm new here myself. Sounds like exciting stuff you've got going on!
