I'm looking for small (VERY small) lidded containers to put dip in the boys' lunch boxes. I've been told Pottery Barn has them, but I can't find them on the website. Laptop Lunches also has them, but you have to buy a multi-size Bento Pack to get the tiny one. Ideas?

(In case you're confused about why my homeschooled boys need packed lunches - Our chess club meets after our co-op with a lunch break in between.)

I got some for Tupperware, a few years back. Have you tried there?

The consultant I talked to told me you can't buy the tiny ones; you have to win them at a party. But I only talked to the one lady... she could have just been trying to get me to have a party. lol

Mine were given to be by someone that had a party so maybe that's true. I don't know.

No. But I did measure what I have and they are 2" tall and about 3 1/4" wide. How many do you need?

Do you have a Dollar Tree in your area? I think they have a multi-pak that size for a dollar.

I was just at Dollar Tree and didn't notice them, but I wasn't looking for them either. I'll have to check there tomorrow before I get carried away ordering stuff. lol

I think they'd be too wide. Maybe. Arg. Now I'm getting too sleepy to think through this. Guess that means I should get off the computer and go to bed. lol.

    We'll talk more tomorrow.

I used to have Tupperware ones that were about 3/4 in. deep and an inch wide. It do think I won them at a party. Not even sure what happened to them, but I used them all the time for dips!

Dollar Tree has some in the baby section with animal lids. They are still bigger than really needed for dips, but maybe they'd work?

Ziploc has some that hold about a half-cup. Don't know about your kids, but it's about the right size for dip for me!

At the dollar store in I believe the craft section you can get a 6 or 8 pack of very small containers. They are about an inch tall, and about 1 1/2 inches in diameter I think. I'm guessing on the measurements.

These are what I had. Surely there is a Tupperware consultant who can help you!

Yup, try Dollar Tree. If they don't have them, ask when they might get some in and the manager will usually try to accomodate you. Our local grocery store has them in the plasticware aisle- six containers for $4.99. More spendy than the dollar store, but probably cheaper than online.
You can also try a restaurant supply place. They sell a sleeve of 2 oz portion cups and a sleeve of lids. Maybe even one of the local fast-food places would order some in for you?? Then the boys don't even have to try and keep track of them as much, they are disposable.
    Just tossing out ideas!

Search for All Things for Sale online and search for "sauce containers" on their site. They have tons of little lunchbox stuff. We have one of the little 4-piece sets and they're perfect.

We get the Solo ones at our store. If all else fails I will see if I can work out buying some. Good idea, thanks!

I have some Tupperware ones, too, but they're AGES old (ie: before we were married old!) I wish I had some more!
