It's a GREAT book, great resources, they also explain and give detail in the back half of the book on ALL the books they recommend. It's my go to resource, (after I look at Sonlight's lists, of course! LOL )
I had used the American one many times; they also had one for the younger grades. But the library got rid of them. I thought it an excellent resource, too.
I love them. I got them at a used book sale YEARS AND YEARS ago. Debated about selling them at a different sale this year. Then started reading over them again and said NO WAY! LOL I will hold onto these until my youngest graduates!!!!
I like to incorporate historical fiction and history. I bought a book All through the Ages by Miller. She has listed 6500 books, both fiction and nonfiction for homeschooling parents. It's one of the best purchases I've made.
All Through The Ages arrived at the library today!!! It's GREAT!!! Not only for history, but also for the class I teach at Co-op where we "travel the world on a magic carpet", reading folk tales from different countries. THANKS!!!!
