Hi, everyone! It looks like you have several newbies here, so I thought I might join in. I live in rural KY and am mom to 2 boys who have birthdays coming up soon; they will be 13 and 16. We are getting ready to start our 6th year of hsing. We use a very eclectic mix of curriculum. I've found hsing to be a challenge, but also a great joy. It seems that y'all are a warm & interesting group, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you.
Hi I am Patricia but I am called Trish. So much shorter and nicer. I live in upstate SC. I have one daughter who is 7. We are in our 4th year homeschooling. She is in 3rd grade and we use Abeka. We also do extra activities with that.
I'm Brenda in New Brunswick (don't hold that against me please  I have three boys (13, 10 and almost 7). This fall will be our first full year at home schooling althoguh we did home school the middle child for a couple months last year and again this year. Glad to meet you. Hope you have an awesome experience here and learn all kinds of new things too. I think one of the other newbies recently said she felt foolish replying to one of the other posts - that's what it's all about: learning to help your own children and enjoying a good laugh or two while you're here (and I'm sure you will) Brenda
Welcome, welcome!!! I'm Anne, I hs my ds, who is 7 years old. He's starting 2nd grade, so we're starting our third year of "formal" schooling. Blessings,
Hi and welcome! Im Rebecca, and i also live in Ky. I have 3 children 2 boys aged 11 and 5, and a daughter aged 7. This has been our first year of schooling and looking forward to the next
Hi! I'm just waiting for Tigger now that we have a Heffalump, Eeyore, and Jenpooh! Oh, silly me, I forgot that there is only one T-I-double/g/-ER..... I'm in Iowa in a town right on the Mississippi River. I have a 9yo son and 6yo daughter. This will be our second consecutive year homeschooling (son did time in ps twice  ) and it is getting better each day. We use Math-U-See for both, Explode the Code for 6yo dd, and still looking for language arts for ds. We also have Mystery of HIstory and Considering God's Creation we'll be using in the years to come when both kids will benefit from them (waiting for dd to have things "click" a bit more). Welcome again!
Never know who else might be lurking in the Hundred Acre Woods ! Maybe even Kanga with her little Roo !
Welcome! Homeschool Spot is a great place- I'm sure you'll enjoy your time spent here with us! We've got lots of homeschooling veterans, as well as several new-to-homeschool moms here- we all learn alot from each other- it's great! Anyway, I'm Heidi. I'm a stay-at-home mom to 2 daughters- ages 11 and 5. We are starting our 5th year of homeschooling (not consecutive- we took a break for awhile- which I'm now regretting- but you know what they say about hindsight!) This year, we are becoming much more eclectic in our approach, which we're all really excited about! Homeschooling is wonderful!
Jackie reporting in!!! Starting year 7, having homeschooled from Day One! Am in Central Ohio, with DD(11), DD(9) anad DS(5). Brooke, my first year at college we had to have a name on the back of our Hall T-Shirt, and I put on TIGGER. Does that count? (That was right before my best friend started refering to me as Sprite all the time; I've used Sprite ever since!)
Hi and welcome to the board. My name is Kris and I am on my third year homeschooling my two little ones 12 and 10 years old. Brooke, we call my little one Roo ROO for a nickname I would love to roo roo where do I find it. Welcome and join in anytime. Wonderful place to be.
We need to start a post for everyone to list the Hundred Acre Wood's character that they most identify with.....hmmmmmm.....
We like roo he is our favorite. that is what we call my little one. She bounces like a roo since she was 8 months old.
I am an eyore fan too. I have a pair of eyore jammies, my favorite and Winnie the Pooh over-alls along with several pooh pins. Glad to see that I am not the only fan. Bid on a Pooh canister set, lost the bid though, that would have been perfect!
