it cost for the math site unlike the spelling, but it is really cheap. I just signed up for the one month for now. I checked out the problems they offer and it is great. You can modify the lesson and even print the lesson off if you don't want to do it on the computer. I cannot wait for ds to try this he will love it!

Now only waiting for spelling time to start back up on August 10. So close but feels so far away. LOL

Actually I read on the spellingtime site- or was it the math one under the Q&A that spellingtime was going to start charging as well because of the high traffic on the website. The prices will be reasonable like Mathtime.

I think we may try Mathtime in a few months, and am going to do spellingtime again. Dd loved that program.

I signed up for it last week. I do like it but I wouldn't use that as our only math. We'll use it on the days that we need something different. I hate it that spellingtime is going to charge :(

I have check out the Math program and it looks really good. But I won't be getting it at this time. (no extra change in the budget) We would only use it for review any way. I was planning on using spellingtime this year. My son really liked it. I also hate that they will be charging. I hope by Aug. I can afford it. I know it won't be much but our pennies are really stretched rght now!

Jo Anna, thank you for this info!!
I wondered if they'd start charging for Spellingtime. Can you blame them, though? I know of no other sites like that, with games, add your own words and all that.

Spellingtime used to be free.. but they said they had so much traffic and upkeep that they need to charge to keep it going. I believe they haven't decided on a fee yet, at least that is what their FAQ section said. The math site is 35.00 or something like that, I think. I hope they offer a package deal, where you get a better price if you subscribe to both.

$35.00 for how long? Is it annually? I hate that they will be charging, but I can understand why they are. I like the idea of the package deal.

    I believe that 35 is per year. And I think it's 4.99 a month.
