Freeze it and eat it all year long and as you eat it remember your dear friend and pray for her.

We always freeze enough corn to get us through till next year.. it is the best!!!

Sadly this year we will have none to freeze unless we go buy it.. we went to check it out last night and there is none left in the field, the BEARS!!! came and ate it all!!! The deer usually help themselves, but they don't ever empty the field :(

have you ever made pickled corn?? I like it, but never made it.

You can make corn relish. Corn chowder, corn cakes, corn fritters, grilled corn.

A friend of mine suggested this way of cooking it and it turned out really good - all you do is soak the ears (in the husk) in water for about 10 minutes and bake it in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. I tried this while I had a chicken and mac and cheese already in the oven and it turned out delicious. This save having to have the top on along with the oven.

Oh, have you thought of cream corn? We would do this at my inlaws house. We had a lot of corn and we creamed it and froze bags of it. It taste nothing like store bought. My dh hates cream corn, but he will eat all of this. We would clean it, then blanch it ( boil for 3 min. the put in ice water until it is cold) then run the cobs over a creamer then put it in a freezer bag and freeze. When you cook it just add salt and pepper and a little oil. OMG it is to die for. lol
