Noah is going to learn exactly where he came from in two days. He has just had way too many questions lately and I want to clear it all up for him. He is eight and part of me feels like it's a little too soon but from the conversations we've been having I know it's time.
The DVD "Where Did I Come From" is on the way. DH and I will watch it tomorrow night and then we'll watch it with Noah on Wednesday.
If any of you have any words of wisdom I could really use them.

Can't say that I have any answers but your post brought back a memory for me (of when I was pregnant with my Noah). Christian (my oldest child - then 6), had asked me one day when we were leaving the hospital if I was going to bring my sewing machine to the hospital with me for them to sew my belly up when I had the baby

We haven't tackled that subject with our Noah yet (or Andrew either) but plan to wash it down to give them the necessary information in such a way that doesn't go over board.

I don't want to go overboard but at the same time I don't want him formulating his own ideas. This is really tough!!!

The best advice I was given was to just give bits of info at a time. I would let my ds ask questions and let him direct how much info we gave. Over time we finally got it all out there, but it was in his timing according to what he was comfortable with and could handle. It literally was probably over a year or so before he was ready for the whole thing.

The funniest thing was him saying at the end of all of it "you mean....you had to do that with daddy 2 times???" LOL

the movie I think Amy is talking about.. I think I have to agree with Leslie take it slow at there pace and let them ask the question and go from there if they are happy with it stop if not keep going, don't do to much at once it will scare them. Mine learn well and fast... to fast...
