Thanks, Michelle. I'll check that early next week. In a short while my swathing and baling crew (ie the rest of the family) will be coming in for supper, and I'll work on the meal next.
I agree, you gals "rock!" (Even though, if you knew me, you'd laugh at my usage of that word! :)) 'Bye! C U next week with a cleaner house!

Does anyone know how to get the Butterflies Beginnings? I'm curious and want to see all the beginning things but it keeps downloading it as a microsoft word download and we only have microsoft works.

Thanks for starting this thread and for the flylady sugggestion. I am trying to sell my home, I have never been so decluttered...most everything is at the storage unit...(((sob)))...I thought what a great time to make a good habit. My control journal was completed today and I did the kitchen zone today which was cleaning the refrig out totally. Morning and night time routines are good! Kids had their flight plans for the day and we faired pretty well. It was our first official day together!

Any looking into this system, I am thinking it will be worth it to not have CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome) in the home. :)

    Thanks again!

We know what that feels like! We describe "The speed of light" as the speed at which we used to fly around picking up the front room, trying to make it look nicer whenever we heard guests were on their way! :)

Things are changing though, now that the children are older. In fact, when I received our schedules from Motivated Moms (THANKS, MICHELLE!), our dd asked why in the world we needed someone else's ideas on cleaning when we were doing so well, ourselves! I was happy to hear that she was already satisfied with the condition of our house, but I told her that there's always room for improvement. Maybe we could take old toothbrushes and clean the far reaches of the attic! :) Seriously, there are major areas in which I want to set a better example for her than what I have.

I too began my control journal and I have my morning and evening routines down!!!! I even have Samantha doing the swish and swipe on her bathroom and she thinks its fun! Imagine that! I have been doing a bit of zone cleaning since Sunday. I have my oven to clean and my back porch left to clean.

I have been cooking a lot too - from scratch instead of a box! My hubby said last night that he really likes the non smoking Tiffany! It was one month on Sunday since I had a smoke.

Belated Happy One-month Anniversary! I said it before, and I'll say it again: I am so PROUD of you! I have a dear friend who gave up smoking and says it's the hardest addiction in the world to kick. And because of your sharing on this thread, a lot of us are getting blessed! Thanks!

Thank you so much for the kind words Prairie! You have no idea how much the friendships I have made here mean to me. My hubby's friend said he quit smoking in 1983 and he still wakes up craving a smoke every now and then. It is hard but I am determined!

Today I loaded the car with donation items and we will drop it all off in the morning. I even got dh to go through his closet! So now I am going to have an actual guest bedroom! I can hardly believe it! Now I have to choose a color to paint the room. I'm thinking of lavendar or doing something "french country". Ambitious I know! I am thinking of something soft and relaxing. But really I have no clue.

That is great! It is such a great feeling to get rid of all the crap. I cannot believe how much stuff I got rid of when I started doing FlyLady. And that was after I had dumped a bunch of stuff when we moved. And of course, I am sure I still have stuff that could go...

I just wish I could get dh to declutter! I did get him to go through his clothes so that is something but he is such a pack rat it drives me insane! He will keep crap for years he has no intention of ever doing anything with. He gets all nervous when I start decluttering!

Just pray for your dh and pray for your contentment with what he chooses to do with his things.
    Keep up the good work!!!
    I am cheering you on!!!

My husband is the opposite. He loves to throw things away. Once, he threw his trash can away. And I tease him that he had to marry me because he threw his yearbook away. But he does leave his stuff out on the bathroom counter, etc. I go ahead and put it away because I know he is in a hurry because he leaves so early, so I try to pick up after him when I can. Not that he is really messy or anything! But I did notice that when I started picking up more, he did, too.

Okay I almost spit my coke out!!!

My husband leaves stuff all over - stuff on the bathroom counter and boxer shorts on the floor, etc... Although I must say that since I started this new cleaning, cooking, non smoking flylady thing I do see some changes in him. I know he likes the changes I am trying to make and I really do see him putting forth a bit of effort.

I did get my sink partly started. I was geared up to do the flylady from earlier this week but ended up babysitting when I didn't plan on it and my two dgds have been a handful this week. I printed out the student checklist for Joyce and she loves the way it is set up. She does not do well with clutter but is my child in that we seem to create it!!

Congrats, Tiffany, on quitting smoking. My dh has cut back numerous times since I've known him but always starts back. My vice is my pepsi and I know I need to cut it out. I'm hoping I can use the Flylady to get myself organized!

I wish I could say I was kidding about the trash can, but I'm not! He used to be really meticulous, but as he has had less and less time with working, he has become less so. But he has said that it really helps him feel less stressed when the house is clean, so I TRY to keep it nice--some times with more success than others! There are always setbacks, and I love how FlyLady doesn't act like you have failed for that.

Thanks for starting this thread, Tiffany. I'm always looking for better ways of doing things. I hope I can keep things together around the house once school starts....
