Not sure how this all works over here, but hello, anyway!

I am a homeschooling mother of four: dd8, ds4, dd2 and dd3months. My hubby is gone with the railroad a bit...actually in Denver at the moment for who knows how long (days? months?) So things can get a bit lonely around here!

We use the Principle Approach. Anything else y'all need to know?

I guess that would be important information! This will be my fourth year. I started rather begrudgingly and agreed to "give it a try" for one year, fully expecting to enroll my daughter in first grade when it was over.

I never expected to fall in love with it!

Glad to have you with us!
My hubby works for the railroad too. We usually see him about every three days. His route takes him between MN and WI. Although he's been off most of this week and the kids keep asking when is daddy leaving again. They don't quite know what to do when dad joins them in the sandbox!

    Good question. Frome the website,

"The Principle Approach® has been called "reflective teaching and learning." It is America's historic method of Biblical reasoning which places the Truths (or principles) of God's Word at the heart of education. Each subject is predicated upon God's Biblical principles and students are taught to think and reason from principles and leading ideas using The Notebook Method to Research, Reason, Relate, and Record."

You can read more here: face.net/203345.ihtml

I am not very good at explaining it, but essentially all of what we teach flows from principles which are derived from scripture.

Welcome! Where are you at in Nebraska? We were in Bellevue/Omaha for 3 years and now we are back in OK. I have a 3 year old son.

OK! I only went to Lincoln once while we were there. Went to Kearney a couple of times and then also spent some time in McCook. We have family in Carroll and Beatrice, I think.

Is "gottsegnet" a blessing? Would "Gott segnet dich auch" be a proper response? I never learned to speak German well, but I heard it frequently, growing up.

Welcome to the spot. Most of us have "fallen in love" with homeschooling!
