This weekend, we're heading out of town for our anniversary weekend getaway! We have not been able to do something like this since before the kids were born, so we're really excited! We're staying here: www.mermaidanddolphin.com in this room: http://www.mermaidanddolphin.com/guest_suites.htm#images/MDCelticTwilightTitle2.gif These rooms are so expensive that dh joed we have to pack sandwich makings and eat www.jackinthebox.com to even remotely afford this.... thank goodness for American Express! I know, I know, BAD....and this is a major splurge!! So will post back on Monday...
Good for you! We did the same thing last year after 16 years of marriage. We had never gone away for our anniversary and stayed at an outlandishly expensive but extremely romantic B & B in Michigan for a weekend. You'll love the jacuzzi! Carol
Oh that looks so nice!! You guys have fun!! We are leaving today too. We wre supposed to float the river but it is closed so we are spending the weekend childless at our friends lake house.
WooWoo, looks GREAT! Have a great time! Oh btw, when you post back on Monday, we don't need TOO many details!!!
I'll agree with Deena about those details!!! Oh, have a REALLY WONDERFUL time!!! Praying it can be a time of re-connecting and renewal for you guys!!!
Oh I won't share THOSE! I'm talking about the historical old houses and the museums we're going to....oh and maybe the Spanish (from Spain) food we're going to have tomorrow night
Sounds like a great weekend. Enjoy and again don't share too much, but let us know what a wonderful time you had. Don't forget to pickup your kids - after speding a marvelous weekend without them, I thought you might forget them, just kidding.
Aww, share all you want! Those rooms look like something from a Janet Dailey romance. Lol- Jackie and Deena can go read another thread while you divulge!
We're home now! And we had a fun time!! On Friday night, we found a wonderful pizza place called Papa's, down in Galveston. It seriously was the best pizza we'd ever eaten....!! Then we attempted to go into the hot tub (stuck a FOOT in and it was wayyyy too hot) but ended up going swimming in the pool....Naked... don't worry it was in an enclosed room almost dark with a whirlpool and nobody was around... Then Saturday we went to the Galveston County Historical Museum, and the Texas Seaport Historical Museum. We were going to go to a Spanish restaurant but we found out they were having a private party and all tables were booked up...Bummer! So now we have to wait to go there.... Then we cried over watching The Story of Us... And this morning we checked out, and took the scenic route home....we were too tired to go look at the historical homes but it's not like we're not going to go back there someday.... And then there's all the other details I promised not to tell you about... We had a fun time!! And the boys (and dog) were very happy to see us!
Welcome home! Glad you had a good time, and that you didn't share any more details (despite Becky's invitation to do so)! Really, it's a rare occurance to be alone like that, so it's so neat that you got to get away together!
We have a huge mansion not far from us that is a gorgeous B&B. I'd love to stay there sometime. The filmed the movie 'Girl, Interrupted' there a few years ago.
Jenni, I was with Becky, I was hoping for more details.. Becky, you go there girl and then you can give us alot of information. LOL
