Oh, if anyone wants or knows someone who wats, VideoText Algebra (Covers Alg. 1 and 2), I have that available also!
Are we allowed to sell stuff on here? I have tons of stuff on ebay for sale. Just wondered. I hadn't listed on here because I didn't know. Anyone can look at my ebay auctions though (in my sig). How much is the VideoTExt?
My dh is not wanting me to sell on ebay, at least until he checks it all out...I think if you let people know you have stuff, and they want to contact you, then we've done it before. I've been here forever, and I don't have the prices listed on-line, but I'm not sure of the official stance. I will pm you about the VT.
I know I need to try it! But until dh looks it over and clears it, I have to wait.... That's okay, he wants to be safe, plus I'm not sure how to set it all up.
Ya, I Want to sell on Ebay too, maybe someone can teach us how its done on a thread? I know some of you have done this for years as a second income but I have no idea what all is involved, how much money you loose or what not. of course my main goal is to get rid of what I have, get a bit of $ back but help another homeschooler make it with out a lot of $$ spending! (my books are Life Paks mostly and teacher 4th and 5th grades (GM I found more when I cleaned out the cabinet! Didn't know what I had!)
I wish everyone could list what they don't need and put prices so we could all see if we needed anything, but I think that was talked about a while back and didn't work out.
I have no problem walking someone through ebay. It's really easy once you try it. I walked my 14 yr old through it a couple weeks ago and she found it super easy. She now does most of my listing. (I think we have 96 listings up on ebay right now! lol) If someone wants to learn, we can find a time, and exchange messenger IDS and sometime I'll help you. I watched this video last week called 'Trash to Cash', also called 'An online auction adventure' by John Mortensen. He also has 'A garage sale adventure'. Anyway, they feature that lady who is a high seller on ebay and has written ebay books. Features her shopping for things to sell and step by step showing you how to do ebay. Granted, the steps have changed a bit over the years, but its pretty close to the same. I got my videos at the library, you might look for them...
I think that's very cool that we can sell hs stuff here. I sell a lot of stuff on ebay (mostly better brand kids clothes) for a group of moms. I've done it for years so I know a bit. I don't know specifics about selling HS curriculum, but if anyone had any general ebay selling questions I'd be happy to help! My id on ebay is the same as here, shannonu.
I sell on ebay and have a store. My id user name is thefruitofherhands07. My store is The Fruit of Her Hands. I sell homeschool stuff, clothes, you name it! My daughter is 9 and helps out. It is really easy to do. I know JenniferErix also sold a ton on ebay also. She is always a knowlegable one for anything on the computer. So, anyone interested in ebay on here has a ton of people to turn to! Deena...I wish you had the grade I am looking for...ugh. Oh well. I still don't have everything and I am starting school next week! lol.
I still don't have everything either! This will be my 10th year of homeschooling, and it will be the latest and most unorganized start I've EVER had! There keeps being things that come up, so I keep saying, "Once we finish THIS, I can start on next year!" Then it was, "Once we're back from vacation, I can start on it." Now it's, "Once we get my oldest ds off to school we've GOT to get going!!!" This weekend is when we take ds to school sniff, sniff! So MAYBE starting next week I can REALLY get everything nailed down! I've made some progress over the last 2 or 3 weeks, but don't have everything all set yet. I'm wanting to try to talk dh into us getting ds13 TT Algebra, and to help me set up on ebay or craigslist or something to sell the other stuff we have. Sooooo, we'll see how the next couple of weeks go!
deena this is my latest too! we always have ordered in APril to get all the discounts... well we just got things ordered this week and last so hoping something will be here for the 5th which is our first day of school scheduled! lol!
I too can help with eBay if needed... it was my full-time job for quite a few years (made gold powerseller for quite awhile which is $20,000 3/month average)..... we did the whole storage unit auction thing and may do it some again we'll see Of course now I want to combine my id's and since I have over 3000 on one id and only 40 on the other - but they can't right now until they figure out a way to delete half.com accounts <grrrr> BUT it is quite easy once you get the hang of it. And with all the transactions I did - I never had an illegal transaction happen where either they sent me a phony money order or anything like that.
I want to learn to sell on Ebay some time. The thing I keep wondering about it the Paypal thing. If you accept Paypal and someone pays you with it, how do you get your money? Does Paypal sent it to your bank or what? I keep reading that you will sell more if you use it. Beth
