You won't usually see me asking for a prayer for someone but this one needs it I think. Our new found friends (live around the corner on a farm, homeschool, & have kids our kids age) called me today asking me to pick up their son from their house (age 10) because they had to take their daughter to the Dr's who then had them go by ambulance to the hospital. After tests - she has what seems to be a kidney infection and will be in the hospital for 3-5 days with IV anti-biotics to kill it. They were just thinking overnight, but the Dr extended it to 3-5 days. Luckily it was caught in time - but I would just like a little thought prayer to go out to this little 7 year old girl who is becoming my daughters new best friend. :angel:
As far as I can tell - no symptoms. I saw her the other day and she seemed fine. SHe had fallen and she was making a big deal about the pain for awhile after it happened then stopped - and then fell in the barn yesterday and was having problems walking afterwards. Turns out she either landed on or near her kidney which was causing the actual pain vs pain from the fall. So if she didn't fall, it could have gotten a lot worse.
Praying for this young girl to get better. I know how frightening this can be for her. I too, had a kidney infection at age 8 and had to be in the hospital for a week, without my parents.
Saying a prayer too. I hope things work out great for her. Also I am so glad you found some homeschool friends that is what we miss. Lorna
I am so glad they caught it in time. My aunt had an untreated kidney infection and now she is on dialysis (ok...I can't spelll...geesh) Anyway...I will pray the girl recovers quickly!
