Anyone have a favorite one that works?
I know here the schools were giving them out this year my ds asked for one and dd wants one too so she can keep track herself of what she needs done ( probably because big brother gets one but I am find with getting her organised already!)
I am looking for one with the dates in it, not exspensive, room for assinment lists and check lists, and maybe helpful hints n the back if they have one like that still ( saw one years ago like that)
It is for a highschool aged but one that needs clear defined spaces.
    Tabs ? Ya!
ANYone seen one at Staples or Walmart? ( My nearest stores)

Well, my boys are so young still that they can't write/be resposible for thier own assignments and stuff yet, BUT since my oldest can read well I made him a binder with the stuff he needs. I photocopied blank assignment sheets out of a teacher planner that I bought and write the stuff in it for him. I showed him how to check off the things we work on each day and he likes being able to tell me 'we still have to do spanish and geography' or whatever we haven't done yet that day. I, personally, am addicted to organization (it is seriously like a disease for me, lol) so I am secretly thrilled that he is so into it! The novelty will probably wear off before the end of September though so I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on something I wasn't sure he'd use. If you're any good with excel on the pc you could probably create some forms that are exactly what you want... Good luck, and let me know if you find a really good planner. I never know when I'll need my next 'fix'...

I Was planning to do something ike that for my kids as one of my trial schedule plans, to print off lessons and assignements daily and keep in a binder , they can check it to see if they forgot anything and see what to do... We can tab it too! to keep it organised,
I am a wanna be organised person with a family of disorganised people, waaaaaaaaaaa
but I am working on it!

I think you could come up with something good - at least for a trial to see if they'll keep up with it. In ours, I have tabs for a calendar, assignments, reading list (we write down the name/author of each book we read and he rates them by drawing 1-5 stars), spelling lists, and spanish vocab. I thought of 1000 other things I could add, but I didn't want to overwhelm him :) He is a novice at the organizing after all...

I took mine to Staples and they got to pick it out. My daughters was $7 I want to say and my sons was about the same price.

So far so good - they have weekly ones (like the did in school). My son's is larger than my daughters but it works!

I mentioned the planners at the homeschoolestore. But I am sure that the Joyful Steward ones don't have the dates in them. You have to fill that in yourself.

I bought my girls all planners from Success by Design. The ones I ordered were all under $3 each and the shipping is a minimum of 10% or $7.50 for all orders. We received 6 lesson planners and 8 bookmarks (rulers) for like $25 including shipping.

Yes, the site won't let me post a link since I have not been a member that long but it is the website name if you put www dot com with it.

    Nancy-

That site is awesome! I wish I had known about it sooner. I didn't check through every planner, but a lot of the elementary ones said Sold Out. I'll look again this evening when I have more time. What a great place though - I will definitely remember them for next year!

You all are so welcome. Glad I could help you out. I will also add that when I ordered they told me that some were sold out but they had ordered more and would be able to mail them out within a weeks time. If there is one that you really want that says sold out call them and see if they have them on backorder, chances are they will.:p

well I liked them, but dh said to look for some at our local stores so we dont have to do the mail thing.
I liked the idea that you could actually customize your cover too! , for only 40cents more! That is awesome!
maybe I can get my church's school t check these out! What a great fund raiser idea too!

Okay, to answer myt own question ... Wal greens had the best one I could find , local, for 3.99 total, I think that came to the same amount the one I wanted to order would have come to after mail and postage stuff? At anyrate, ds is happy with it, I want to make an order anyway of that one with Agape Academy on it! How fun!
