You hang in there, girl. Leave caffiene(SP?) alone in the meantime, as much as you can. I'll be praying.
I had a similiar thing under my arm (arm pit area) and my mom in law FREAKED because she thought it was breast cancer. I had just has my daughter after a warm winter, and it turns out it was an infected gland. I had to put warm compresses on it three times a day for three months before it drain (YUCK!!!!) and went away. Shortly thereafter I learned the reason I get those and still have acne, even tho I am in my mid thirties (isn't that a cruel joke - fighting acne AND wrinkles!?) is that I have an overactive bacteria on my skin and I am allergic to the tetracycline drugs they use to typically treat it. So I get stuck with infected glands and acne. To get to the point, it doesn't sound like the lump is in a typically cancer-scare spot, and if you've had one infected gland before (and this lump is in a skin fold area) there is a good chance it is just another gland issue. At least, that is what I will pray for. Best of luck at the Dr and our prayers are with you.
Praying for you!!! I get lumps/swollen pimples/ boils all the time, they are terrible, mostly mine are boils and go away after while. ((HUGS))
Thanks everyone. I guess I am a bit freaked because I have had a benign tumor (firbroadenoma) in my breast a couple years ago. My family has a huge history of cancer. The nurses my hubby works with (SUCH a valuable resource those gals are) said they think it's a swollen gland. We will see what the doc says tomorrow. Hopefully that is all it is. Gwenny...I still get some acne too. I'm 30. I've always had terrible skin. I'm able to control it with Proactiv, but it's still a bummer.
Praying for you, too! Hoping it's just a swollen gland and you'll have good news to report! I've never heard that about chocolate, but if that's the case, I'm in trouble. I still get some acne, too. Proactiv didn't work for me, only dried out my skin really bad. I started using Bare Minerals and that really helped a ton! I don't wear a lot of make-up, but I wear the foundation everyday since it has been the only thing that helps my acne.
May you find strength and comfort in the Lord as you go through this trial. try to stay positive. There are many small things this could be. I have had glands swollen in the groin area after having my kids also. I think that having kids took a toll on my immune system. While I was pregnant I caught colds etc all the time. This stayed on while bf'ing them to a degree. Once I weaned them things went back to normal both times.
Well, want to know what it is??? * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * a stupid ingrown hair! LOL!!!! Oh brother, how embarassing!
Jen, that is something I have had trouble with under my arms but it didn't cross my mind when you posted. The first time it happened was so painful and I was scared to death until I realized a pattern between shaving and the occasional flareup. Don't be embarrassed, just thankful!!!
