Are you doing anything to celebrate? I think we'll make a yummy fall recipe, maybe a pie. And cut out some leaves to hang around the house, and of course read books about fall!
We were going to go on a nature walk at the local museum, but instead I will be waiting on the exterminators. Spiders seem to be everywhere, and I am not okay with that!!!
Funny, because we will actually have fall weather in CA this weekend! while it is nice to have warm weather nearly all the time, I do miss the anticipation of the cooler weather to break the heat, and all the fun "fall" stuff that goes with it. We used to live in IL - pumpkin capital of the US -- and MI with all the changing leaves and the cooler weather - it was an ideal fall. I am going to miss that a bit this year, so the cooler, raining weather will be welcome. A little bit of fall before summer comes back.
Praise the Lord. I love fall. I hadn't thought about making some leaves to put around the house. That sounds like fun. I am having my last yard sale. Is that clearing out for fall.
We are camping this weekend. I am actually getting ready to load her up so when DH get home we can have sandwhiches and leave. Have to stop at the store then off for the weekend!!! One pay day I will be buying some apples for apple pie and applesauce.
I just love fall. It's so beautiful. We've been having "fall" temps here for the past week but it's supposed to warm up again. We're having friends over tomorrow for bbq. We don't generally "celebrate" fall lol. I can't wait till it's below 60 and STAYS there!
Fall is coming very fast here. Almost all the leaves have already turned and the temps. have really dropped. Our nights are getting colder and colder 30's and 40's. The days are in the high 60's early 70's. I love fall, but in Wyoming all that means is winter is way to close behind. Our fall only lasts maybe a month and then our winter starts. We will be doing some more nature walks and decorating with our crafts for our fall projects.
I got this off a weather blog for those of you in the northern areas!!! Keep an eye to the sky!!! A FYI for this weekend night time skywatchers, these sometimes can be seen further south than predicited.. From spaceweather.com “A solar wind “gust” is due on Sept. 22nd; its impact could spark a full-fledged magnetic storm and push the oval across Canada to northern-tier states such as Wisconsin and Minnesota. Sky watchers, be alert for auroras!”
I to feel like like Fall is the Best season. Here in Texas it means it's not to hot not to cold. It's just right. This is my favorite time of the year to camp out too. We go to Brazos Bend State Park. Raccoons, armadillos, and alligators, what more could you ask for. HA HA! Along with all the other awesome animals in the park they have some beautiful scenery.
I cant wait to take a drive up north in a few weeks for the changing of colors..I really want to do it this year, in about 2 weeks the leaves may be "ready". Not really celebrating this weekened thou.
