Hello, I am new on this website. I have a 1, 4, and 6 year old. I've been homeschooling since last year when my oldest was ready for kindergarten. I thought I would ask others how is has been to homeschool with roughly the age range of children I have. Overall I enjoy homeschooling  , but there are days... I know that is normal. My 4 year old doesn't start K until next fall, but started very basic reading this week, so it looks like I'm doing something right. If anyone has any tips to pass along about homeschooling with a young family, I will gladly welcome them. Thankyou to all!!
welcome to site, there are alot of wonderful women here who can help you and I am sure they will be jumping in here soon. I just want to welcome you to the site and yes there are days that schooling is alot but what job isn't. I wouldn't trade it for a million bucks. Any way good luck and enjoy the little ones, it's alot of fun watching them grow and learn with you there.
Welcome! I have a 9yo boy and 6yo girl. I wondered what it would be like when both of them were starting "formal" (I don't think that word exhists in my vocabulary  ) schooling. Somehow it has just been one day flowing into the next...kinda like the feeling you have when you are pregnant with the second child and you wonder how on earth you will do it with two, kwim? Somehow it progresses at a pace that you can handle it--and not only handle it, but thrive in it! BTW, you caught me on a good school day ....welcome aboard!
Welcome! I have a 7 and 5 year old. We have been homeschooling for one year and love it! Of course like anything it does have its ups and downs! Again, welcome!

Welcome, I have two boys, ages 14 and 16 and I have homeschooled them from Kind. The youngest wanted to do what his brother was doing when his brother started Kind. so I bought curr. for the youngest too (grade kind) and he learned right along side his brother. Kids are like sponges, they absorb everything! When we get curr. each year both of the boys use the same grade curr. because the little one started really early. Your kids, the 4 and 6 years old are spaced the same as my boys, you could possibly do the same, just don't push the little one, it will come naturally. We use Abeka and really love it. Have have used it from K-present. Their reading program is A+++++++++++++++ in my opinion. Good luck, have fun, don't sweat the small stuff and remember, tomorrow is another day! Staci
Thankyou It is nice to hear from other homeschoolers that have/had young children. I'm overall pleased with how it is going for our family. Even the baby is learning so much at 14 months. We are teaching her sign language for babies and she is picking it up very fast. Sometime I fret that I give to much "schooling" to be done, and other times not enough. I'm sure in time I'll learn to find the balance, and of course each day is new. Thankyou everyone for welcoming us. I look forward to reading other posts and getting to know you a little. Thankyou, Penny
