I knew someone here was living in that region (I suspect probably more) and have been praying continually since I've been watching the news reports. Praying that you go home to something other than rubble, but most of all that your family is safe throughout all of this.

I got thinking this morning... I make all these whimps and whines about our weather here (bitter cold in the winter and blistering hot in the summer) and then you watch television and see the devastation caused by hurricanes and tsunami's - Praise the Lord I live where I do and don't get hit too hard by all that kind of weather.

    God Bless and keep safe.

    Praying in Wisconsin:).

I think about that stuff too when it's tornado season around here. All the counties around us always get hit, but never us where we live in the city. Thankful to that a lot.

    praying in Arizona

AMEN to the whining and whimpering. I find myself doing the same thing. It goes to show you there is always someone in a worse situation than you. This is a day the Lord has made be glad and rejoice in it. Lord, help us to rejoice in everything not just when things are going our way. I am talking to myself, so please don't think that I am pointing fingers.

Mind numbing doesn't even begin to describe it... I've watched CNN for the last day or so and have been absolutely blown away by what I see. I hope and pray Vicky is ok.

Praying here too. The news looks awful, praying for the Lord's protection over everyone there, especially Vicky and her family.

Thank you all for the prayers. We are all ok. But we still haven't heard from my Uncle and Aunt. They live on the MS. coast.
Our home has only minor damage we lost some trees and we still don't have any power we are using a generator for power. We have just returned home today. We do have phones and water. Yeah. We may not have power for another 2 weeks, maybe longer. It has been a long and tiring week.
The light lines here are snaped in two, and some are still on the ground. Trees still cover the roadways and some roads you still can't get down. We live 2 hours from the MS. coast. They say we had a cat.2 or 3 hurricane here with winds of 120+.
It is going to feel good to sleep in my own bed. You don't know what you have until it is almost taken away from you. Then you just thank the Lord for it.
We had to leave the horse here, because we had no place to put him. He is ok, was happy to see us when we came home on Tuesday to check everything out. But was sad when we had to leave again. It was not safe for us to stay here, until today. We did get to take our smaller pets with us.
I can't wait to get thing back to normal around here. Whenever that will be. Please continue to pray for us and the others here. Gas and parishable foods are hard to come by. We were fed by the Red Cross today. And also given Ice and bottled water.
Thanks again for all the prayers.

Thank heavens you're OK and so is your family. We're still praying for you all as you go through this, but it's so good to hear that you're alright!!

Please, if there's anything you need or things we can do for you, just say the word!

Vicky, What a huge relief to hear that you are all ok.. You'll find many posts here with your name all over them from many of us wondering where you lived, and how depserate we were to hear that you were ok.

Praise God that you are ok and we will continue to pray for all of you and for your aunt and uncle. If there is ANYTHING You need - LET US KNOW!!
