They sign you up at the end of the school year, so I'm not sure if you can do it now. But it wouldn't hurt to try! Call 1-800-4-Bookit and see what they say. Basically, you set YOUR OWN reading goals for each child, grades K-6. Every month (Oct-March) they meet their goals, they get a coupon for a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. Your goals can be number of books, number of pages, minutes read.... whatever. My kids read all the time, so I give them a required number of non-fiction books.... a science book, a history book, a nature book....that sort of thing. Or you could require so many book reports. Whatever you want.
We had Book-It at our church preschool, and it was for two months in the spring. That is how it differs from the regular "kit". But last year they did not send my pre-K certificates :-(. I found pizza slice stickers at the dollar store to use for my two youngest to use to reach their goals- they are cute! momx3
