Tomorrow afternoon, I have an appt with the urologist to hopefully have the last tubes removed from my kidney. If all goes well, my constant pain will finally come to an end.
I'm extremely nervous as the last time this was done, it was extremely painful during the procedure and than my kidney shut down because of the shock. I am seeing a different doctor who has had much better results with similar patients and has promised pain relief during the removal. The original dr did it without any anesthesia at all and then sent me promptly home without waiting to see if there was any side effects. I learned later I should have been laying down for at least a half-hour at the clinic! :x
My kids are spending the next couple of days with my folks so that I have one less thing to worry about at least.
Now, if I could just get myself to relax. :(

I'll certainly be thinking about and praying for you! After your horrible experiences, it's no wonder you are a bit nervous, I would be too!

Try to allow God to give you comfort and peace (see my verse below---it covers a lot of situations!) as you go into this procedure! That's what I will pray for you. I will also pray for the doctor to do things well and RIGHT! And that you will not be in so much pain, or very little or none if that's possible!

Know that we are here thinking about and praying for you!

    Thank you, ladies, so much!
Thank you also, Deena, for reminding me where the true peace (and comfort) comes from.

I didn't see this until now. I'm praying things are going even better than you had hoped for and that you'll soon have a good report for us. Be sure to rest!

Well ladies, I have good news and bad news.
The bad news is that the procedure wasn't done yesterday. The good news is that it's because the dr is being extremely cautious because of my history of complications.
I am being admitted to the hospital on Wed. to have the procedure done surgically. That way, the drs can check immediately to see if there are any problems and fix them at that point. Although it means a longer recovery period, my doctor strongly believes this is the better way to go.
Although I really wanted it to be done and over yesterday, I am trusting in the Lord that there is a reason for the delay.
Thanks again for all the prayers and would truly appreciate it if you would continue!

I will continue to pray for you! I'm glad your dr. seems to be doing it the best way! I hope it all goes well!

Keep us updated! Won't it be great WHEN (not if) this is all over?! Then you'll feel better and have more energy, etc., etc. Praying for that to be this time!
