Brooke, did I tell you we've a HS'ing family moving to Des Moines (I think!) before the month is out? They've got seven boys. The oldest is married and staying at home. The six remaining range from 19 to 5. We'll miss them, because she headed up our homeschool 4-H group.

Jackie...I don't get over that way much. I'm a few hours southeast. We lived for a few months just east of there near Newton. Lots of Dutch stuff around there....tulips and BAKERIES! Mmmmmm.....might need to take a day trip soon....
I have lived quite a few places. We live in Beloit, on the stateline/IL. But my husband and I met working in Milwaukee for a private ambulance company. I grew up in Cedarburg, (north of Milwaukee) in 1983 when my mother moved us from Alaska, where she had been hiding out from my dad(divorce thing here). I was born in Milwaukee. Laura
Thanks for the welcome! Although around here is an unspoken be proud for your state, either WI or IL. I love WI but IL has better homeschool laws and income taxes. :grin: And when I first moved out of my house at 18 I headed for Cedar Rapids and lived there for a short time. Laura
