The lady from a local coop we tried to get into last year called today b/c she wanted to go thru the waiting list to get info about folks interested for next year! YAY!!! They will have spots for us! YAY!!! They are so inexpensive $130 for the whole family for the whole year! They do art, music, drama, gym and then there's one elective we can choose...like a language or a fun science or something. I found out my youngest will be eligible for the preschool class so she won't be in a nursery, she'll actually be learning too! I'm so excited! It seems like a no brainer to me! YAY!!!!
That's great and a great price! We started a co-op this year and it has been wonderful for the kids ( and mom's too) Have fun!
Yay, glad you're in there! We did a coop like that for 3 years. The kids loved it, and that's where I met a now very good friend of mine! Our cost was just under $200 for the three kids for the year, for once a week 9:00-12:30. It was well worth it!
Krista, it's REALLY late here! I read about the local COOP, and all I could think was CHICKENS. I had to read your post twice for it to make any sense, lol!!! Gosh, my brain needs a break, lol!!!
LOL I ran into a woman tonight at a different Co-op's meeting (we have a loose one where we do service projects and field trips together). She said "Have you heard yet? I just heard they were calling down the waiting list". I said "YES, I talked to her today". She seemed really exited that we're considering doing it (she has a daughter almost same age as my oldest - she also has 3 others , but her daughter loves my daughter and vice versa!). I'm pretty excited, i want to see all the paperwork before a sure decision...but I'm just thrilled! I feel like a good chunk of our weekly runarounds can be now avoided b/c we'll be covering big chunks in one spot! YAY!!!
Taht is too exciting, I wish we lived somewhere close to a coop so we can have chickens too. Hehe I really am excited for you, I do want to join one too, but we live in the boonies.
