I'm still chuckling over a dream I had last night. I dreamt that I was teaching the kids one day and suddenly realized that I had never progressed beyond 10th grade. (Not true in real life, PTL!)

So I decided to enroll myself in my old public high school. I had math class first and had no clue what they were doing. Got a big fat "F" on my first worksheet.

So I thought, "Hey, I homeschool! I bet I could enroll myself in K12 and just do this at home so I don't have to be embarrassed!"

Never mind the fact that I'm 39 years old! But they enrolled me, and this huge pile of books came to my door and I'm like, "What was I thinking? I can't do all of this AND teach my kids!"

And then I woke up.

    That is too funny!

I've had those dreaded school dreams where I:
    Forgot my homework
    Was failing
    Couldn't find the classroom
Went to school with dirty hair
Went to school without my jeans on
Couldn't hear what the teacher was saying
Was not able to speak clearly

When I was in grade school I would dream that I forgot my flute for band and would head back home to get it but would never seem to get there! Nowadays I dream about trying to get to my insurance agent to make a payment and don't get there. The craziest, though, are that I'm back in the Army. I worked in the office of a dining facility and was in charge of the money that came in for the meals. If we got inspected, the money on hand had to be 100% accurate so now I dream that I haven't checked the money in days or haven't kept up with the controlled cash sheets. Another is that I'm at work and not in proper uniform or that I know I'm no longer in the military and I'm running around in uniform. Crazy!

That's really funny! Dreams are crazy things, aren't they? In university I frequently had dreams about missing exams - or being late for exams and running frantically to make it in time.

I've been learning and reading a lot about dreams lately. I believe that God still uses dreams to tell us things, at least sometimes or some of us. Maybe He's letting you know that it's time to further your education? Maybe not necessarily in the obvious sense.... Is there a class opening at your church you've considered? Is there someone at your church or in your family - one of your children perhaps - whose name starts with an F? Do you remember any of the numbers in your dream, maybe on the workbook page or something?
And at the end, thinking that you can't do this AND school the kids - the afterthoughts are often our flesh-man, kind of second guessing ourselves. The first reaction is often the one divinely inspired. ;)

    Just a thought. :)

Interesting analysis, DaLynn. I've always been fascinated with interpreting dreams as well. I think they can often tell us quite a lot about ourselves. (For instance, certain members of our extended family have been driving me NUTS! The other night I dreamed they'd all moved to different remote farms in the Pacific Northwest. We live in Georgia. HA!!!)

Anyway, I don't really feel any urge to go back to school soon, but I do feel like I still have quite a lot to learn about homeschooling! Maybe that's it?

Thanks to all who shared your dreams. I've never really had the flying one before. I often have dreams where I'm walking through huge houses where the furniture is all covered with dusty white cloths. Someone once told me that houses represent security, so the dreams must mean that I'm feeling insecure. I dunno! LOL

lol and then there are those that we term "pizza dreams" that we have for no reason whatsoever! Since I've begun studying dreams (maybe a month now?) I've been having MANY more than usual. I usually dream almost every night; for the past several weeks I've had 3-4 dreams every night. Keeps me busy with the learning and interpreting, etc!
LOL Anyway. Thanks for sharing - the thread caught my eye.
10, by the way, means perfection, complete, or divine order. (It can mean more, this is just what I have right here.)
K could represent 1st or 2nd Kings - look up 1:2 in both of those, as well as c12. (I'm assuming, here. Forgive me. LOL) Anyway, you might see if any of those scripture refereces has any meaning for you. 2Kings 12 looks interesting... sometimes dreams are about instructions to bring about blessings.

Anyway. Thanks for the dream interpreting practice!

I have always been a vivid dreamer. My hubby never has, and he doesn't understand it.

I have a hard time because sometimes my dreams come true, and sometimes they are "pizza dreams"

I had a dream that I was teaching my ds in the buff. AHHH for everybody envolved.

HHAHAHA That one sounds like a pizza dream... ;)

I've always been a vivid dreamer as well, and over my life have had more than a few of them come true. My dh also thought I was a bit off my rocker, until recently. He has told me in the past that he "doesn't dream". Once or twice a year he'll tell me that he had a dream. Since I've started studying dreams and God's messages through them, he dreams every night that I don't - half a dozen dreams in the past two weeks.

... and more. God is doing amazing things here, gals. Keep us in prayer!

Flying dreams - when I was little (we moved from that house when I was 6 or 7) I would dream that I was flying down the stairs and would end up in the backyard where I would stand with my dad, air raid sirens were going off and we would be looking up at fighter jets.

Here is a freaky one for you - in the same house I would have repetitous(sp) dreams of going into the basement with a broom and as I went down the steps I would accidentally hit the heating pipes and the house would catch on fire. Years later I mentioned the dreams to my sis and she said that she had had the same ones and she was friends in hs with a girl that later lived in the house and she had the same dream!

I usually have a couple different dreams a night. My dreams are so farfetched, usually. Handsome does not remember most of his dreams and my dad only dreams in black and white.
I like to write some of my dreams down but usually I do not give them much credit.

That is super funny! I love when I wake up laughing. My dh doesn't dream (sleep apnea) and so he thinks I am a total loon when I do that. I chuckle every time I think of it again. Too funny!
