I'm just looking for your opinions on KONOS and Tapestry of Grace. Anyone use either of them? I am thinking about it for next year.

    TIA!

I guess I just want to know how user friendly it is. If I choose to use it, I will be using it with a 3rd and 1st grader next year. Is it all pretty much laid out for you as far as the lesson plans etc...? How much extra time do you have to spend say on a weekly basis planning, getting supplies together, checking books from the library etc...? Those kinds of things.

    Thanks!

I bought Konos Obedience (just the obedience, the one with the knights on the cover)

I read it. And read it. And read it.

    And joined a konos group.

And STILL it didn't make sense to me.

When I asked questions to the Konos group, I was told I needed to pay $30 a month for an online co-op video thing that would teach me to do it, and give more understanding.

When I replied that that's alot of money, especially after having spent $$$ on the curriculum, I got a email box full of emails that IF I truly cared about educating my children in the best way possible, I wouldn't hesitate to do it. And an offer to pray for my soul. Totally creeped me out.

I think Konos is a good plan, IF you know what you're doing, or if you are experienced at HS'ing. I liked the idea of midevial studies too, but would have been happy to skip the whole horse thing. (horses aren't my thing, LOL)

My lack of knowing what the heck I'm doing has a big factor in dropping the curriculum. It just doesn't make sense to me!

Anyway, I switched to Heart of Dakota (Bigger hearts) and so far really LOVE it. It's got each day into squares, and covers everything. Hard to describe, but I really like it.
