Where do you keep all your teacher books, answer keys, etc. Do you have a separate place away from all the homeschooling materials? Do you keep them under lock and key? We have a limited amount of space here and I am wondering where to put them.
I put them in the school room and if I am going to be out of the room, I take them with me. I know it is a temptation to leave them in the same room. Sometimes if I forget, Elijah brings them to me.
I keep them with the rest of the school stuff. I also have limited space. I never had a problem with the kids touching them.
Mine are on the HS bookshelf. The kids have their daily-use books in their own HS container. My oldest might ask me to look up an answer after she's struggled, etc before she goes on. She knows that if I catch her looking without permission that she's in BIG trouble. The younger 2 are clueless about where to look for answers, etc  Rhonda C.
Right now we have all of our books on a book shelf in the dinning room. I have them pretty much mixed in but sd is old enough that I do not worry about her going through them. When we start working with dd we will have to come up with a better system I am sure.
We have a bookshelf with four shelves. The top one is mine, and on it I keep all my TM's, etc. that are currently in use. Each child has one shelf to keep their books on. Sometimes Rachael will put the answer book for her math on her self, since she does all the grading on her own and gives me a score. Books I'm not using I keep in the basement, in a container labeled "Homeschool Curriculum Not In Use".
I keep them on a shelf with the rest of my stuff. I also have a Desk Apprentice for all of the daily workbooks. You can check out Staples dot com, I can't post a link yet since I'm a new member. The Desk Apprentice is pretty big though. Kristine
Ours are in the school room as well. Usually they are on a shelf, but I put them all into a plastic box with lid so that I could take them to a local show recently, and I think I'll leave them there. It doesn't lock or anything, but I haven't had any trouble with mine trying to peek at them. (LOL I'll even tell him to go get it for me, and he does.) I figure as mine age a little and the thought might cross their/his mind(s), that at least if they are out of sight (in this plastic box instead of out on the shelf) then maybe they will be out of mind as well. I'm not overly concerned with it. If he's struggling enough to feel like he needs to cheat, I will know that he's not completely grasping a concept and getting all the answers right would be a huge give-away. He's not ever far from me as he works, though, and I don't think there's much of a chance for him to try anyway. I'm not concerned.
We keep our on the HS bookshelf. So far, so good. She hasn't tried to peek as of yet. Hope it stays that way. Blessings, Dianna
