Ok Ladies I need to brag about this, most of you all know I have no family support when it comes to homeschool my dd's they think it's the worst thing I have ever done since the slice of butter bread. Well yesterday I got this wonderful letter from a lady where we use to live. In IL. I took care of my sister in law who was ill and she was the hospice nurse that came in and help once a week. Well any way, she loved it that I homeschool my girls and thought it was the neatest thing since slice bread. She seen how well they were doing. Well she wrote me a letter to ask about discounts and web sites she took her son out of public school and is now going to homeschool him. She told me she made up her mind after she seen the girls and knew it worked wonderful. Her son loves it and things it neat. He is a Freshman. I am going to forward the letter to family members to let them read and see I am not doing wrong with girls they are doing wonderful. Just needed to brag SORRY. Thanks for listening Ladies.
See you are doing the right thing! Isn't it great when you see God sending you signs to confirm homeschooling being the right choice. I was just telling Trish that the other day about a bb gun brought to a local school and a drug/shooting thing that never actually took place (cops got them first at home on Sunday night after Dad was shot). It was the school Ansley would go too. We also live in a very small quiet town too. Not our normal thing at all. But the comfirmation I needed to hear. I had prayed for a sign from God.
Way to go, Kris! Doesn't that make you feel good to get an occassional "pat on the back" and the confirmation that you're doing something right?!
I'm so happy for you and your girls!!! I bet they were feeling pretty good that they helped rescue....uh, I mean encourage ....another family. You know, you are going to just keep having those kind of moments cuz it'll just keep getting better and better. Keep up the good work!
I just saw this, so wanted to add my congrats also! Way to go! You never know how you may influence someone. I'm glad she wrote to you and let you know. A pat on the back is a good thing now and then! Keep up the good work, and give the girls a special hug from us to let them know we're proud of them too!
People are under the misconception that our children get a better education in public school. Homeschool is one on one and you don't move on til they got it.It is actually fun and enjoyable to get to spend the whole day eith our kids and we enjoy each others company and the public schoolers dont have a clue.
