He arrived in almost one piece and after an easy eye surgery, he's as good as new. My boys are excited to take him out and about as he's the first flat we've hosted.

Ours arrived as well! We're not sure what we're going to do yet, but he'll get around!

Thanks for taking care of Cowboy, Amie! I wondered how those eyes would hold up to traveling, but the kids think wiggle eyes are great. I'm sure our cowboys are going to have great adventures!

Flat Cowboy arrived safely in Yellowstone. He is a little cold since we are lingering in the 20's and are under a snow advisory today. Pretty different that 92 in San Antonio(That's why we left Texas!!). My DH is more excited than the kids so no telling where Flat Cowboy will go.

Yellowstone has been my favorite spot so far since I was a child. I would love to go back there with my family now as an adult. I was 16 when I visited there. I loved it. I think we stayed in a town in West Yellowstone. There were lots of little shops and we walked the streets at night, it was so pretty. I also loved Cody, WY.

We feel truly blessed to be living here. When my dh asked if we should apply for this job I never even hesitated. My kids are getting the opportunity of a lifetime.

When I was 7 we went to see Old Faithful Geyser, and stayed in Yellowstone Park for a few days. We had fun! Well, except while we were waiting for the Geyser, I took my shoes off and ran on the boardwalk. My mom had told me not to, but I was so hot! I got a huge sliver in my big toe. It hurt like crazy, but I didn't want to tell her cuz I'd get in trouble. A few days after we got home, it hurt so bad I had to tell her. She took me to the doctor right away. It was infected and he had to give me a big shot and cut it out and drain the stuff out.....

But I still enjoyed Yellowstone, at least before the sliver! :)

HA, that's funny. You will be happy to know they replaced the wood boardwalks at Old Faithful. They are recycled plastic now. Slick in the ice and snow but safe from slivers.

Our Cowboy arrived yesterday. He was in one piece when he got here, but also had to have an eye replacement after the boys showed him around the house, LOL. They are excited, now he have to think of some fun stuff for Cowboy to do while he is visiting :)
