Hello! Somehow last week or so I ended up at A to Z Teacher Stuff, and I just realized the link here to homeschoolspot. Sounds nice! I am a homeschool mom of three--a ten year-old boy, nine year-old girl, and our youngest is a girl, almost two years old. We have done homeschool all their lives. It has its ups and downs, but we wouldn't have it any other way! The two oldest are in their fifth "grade" this year. We love to garden, although this year circumstances did not allow us to. :cry: I look forward to getting to know some of the other families here better! --N4Life! P.S. :?: Could someone please explain the abbreviations dd, dh--family members, I assume?! Thank you.
Welcolm, there has been a lot of new people here lately. all the abreviations are for family members, husband, daughter, son, with the word dear in front (dear daughter). It took me a while to figure it out too. MIL is mother in law and so forth. I am a home school mom of 4, 2 girls, 2 boys, 3 of them have birthdays this month, youngest will be 5 in 2 days, a 6 year old son, and twins that will be 8 at the end of the month. I hope that you will learn alot here as well as share your ideas. There have been a lot of new people joining lately. Its nice to have a place to get/give imput on homeschool stuff and every day life.
Okay, I get it! lol :-D Thank you. We've got that kind of birthday "plan" in December! The 5th, the 17th, the 31st--not to mention our anniversary and Christmas--then in 2004, we added our New Year's Day baby! Funny. :lol: Our September child looked lonely, so my dh made her b-day the unofficial official every pet's birthday, too. I thought that was pretty cute. :-D

Also, I'm working with my 3YO nephew one morning a week, though I DID warn my SIL that I'm not one to do "real academics" with kids that little. More letting him play with my 5YO, reading to him, and a bit of "guided play".
