Syele, does it like take the Kings and Chronicles and the books of prophecy and put them all together as they happened, rather than as they were written? I've seen some things that are supposedly chronological that doesn't do that. I'm asking because I'd like to find something like that, and have found it rather difficult. Thanks!

Yeah it has several options, I think i remember that one being mixed as it happened rather then how it was written, I also has a few other options in the drop down list at the bottem of the page I gave. At the top you can choose which translation you prefer.

I wasn't here all weekend and all I have to say is GOOD FOR YOU! It makes me so happy to hear of people coming to know or wanting to know the Lord. Even if you don't have much support from people close to you, surround yourself with people who will be supportive if you can. It also might not be a bad idea to go to a local church and ask to speak to a pastor. Not to sound biased, but maybe seek out a Bible based or non-denominatonal church since they wont press any heavy doctrine on you. It would be even more confussing for you if you went to talk to a Catholic or Lutheran minister at this point in time. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but being a new believer it would confuse you more with extra doctrine in my opinion. Good luck in your quest and search for the Biblical truths. It's such a happy place to be even when it seems overwhelming.

Thanks Jenpooh, That is exactly how I feel, overwhelmed! I feel like it is all I can think about right now. It is very hard to do something, or think something that no one around you believes in. Except my MIL who I do not have the best time with, I know no-one of any sort of Christian faith. Tracy
Well, except all you ladies now

You could start by looking for Fall Fest kind of things at local churches. or consignment sales at churches.
Once you're there you could try to figure out who goes there, maybe even the pastor, and tell them what you've told us- you're looking to grow in the faith.
A church that is truly interested in a relationship with God will help you out.
If everyone seems busy ask if there are flyers available about the church.

When I first started looking for a church I called many area churches so we could visit. My son was ADHD, so I wanted him to see the place befoire we went there.
It's hard to make that first step, I know. I did that back in '92 and we're still there.
Like you, my husband is not the least bit interested. They will answer for that one day....

I just got in on this thread too (obviously, since I'm new :D ) and this is such awesome news. The angels are rejoicing. Brenda, have you had a chance to share 1 Peter 3:1-2 with Tracy? I have talked to a few women of unsaved spouses who've been able to find some comfort in it.

Let's all not cease to mentor/minister to Tracy. Now is when she's going to need it the most. Satan's may really go for her now that she's on the opposing team!

Tracy, don't ever feel embarrassed to ask questions of any of us. We've been there, and still don't have all the answers. That's one of the many beauties of God, He always keeps us guessing, just in case we get a little too self-reliant. Seek His face daily and He won't let you down!

Another encouragement: When I first became a Christian (almost ten years ago now), I just thought everything would fall into place. Give yourself time and don't get discouraged when you face trials (James 1:2-3) Don't be afraid to admit your struggles. We are all just like you, HUMAN!, one of us has likely been there too and would love to help you WHENEVER!

Okay, okay, I could go on and on... I'm so excited for Tracy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woo-hoo!!!!! Welcome to the family, Tracy!!! Just prayed to the Lord thanking Him for salvation through His Son, Jesus! I also prayed that He would continue to put other Christians close to you to help you as you grow in your faith. :D

Wow, this is an old thread and nearly forgot about it. What wonderful news and HALLELUIA! Still praying that her husband will be more supporting. Without that it can be a more bumpy road.
