    Hi,
Have you tried Abeka? They have a Bible based curriculum, we use it for my first grade daughter. There is Bob Jones too, but my daughter thought it was boring, and it didn't challenge her, she's pretty advanced. Many don't like the abeka program, I don't know why, but we like it, and my daughter enjoys it. Anyway, you can go into the abeka website, and look it up, they will tell you all about their curriculum. Here is the link, incase you might be interested.

I'm checking out Heart of Wisdom unit studies partly for that purpose. I started another thread asking if anyone uses it. I can't recommend or not recommend it yet, but I think it is worth a look. Also, I have a friend who is using Learning Adventures (another unit study program); I believe it also weaves the Bible throughout the curriculum.

I actually did abeka from 3-10 grades myself. I hated it, but it may have been the way it was taught. I am thinking that's the way we're going to have to go because now, as a parent, I really like it and I think my ds will too.

Are there any others? Abeka is so expensive that I would really like to do my research before I buy, kwim?

    You know,
You might want to go into your local freecycle group, sometimes people post wants for homeschool materials there. I did it a couple of times for some Abeka summer reading materials, and got nearly immediate replies. Also, there are some free homeschool sites, I will post them for you. They are groups on yahoo, where you post what you want, and if anyone has what you need, they will respond. You only have to pay shipping. Also there is book samaritan, they will send you free curriculum if you have financial troubles. Anyway, here are the links, I hope they help.

You might want to check out Konos or Weaver.

Rod and Staff has whole curriculums that you can buy for very decent prices. As you most likely know, I LOVE their English and the Teacher Book that goes with it!

Christian Liberty Press has very good, and low-priced curriculums as well. Their address is http://ebiz.netopia.com/clpress/

    Great! Hope you like it!

I was also going to say Rod & Staff, and I'm surprised that no one mentioned My Father's World, but hey - hope ABeka works for you guys! :)
