    Thanks of for posting that link. That was very encouraging to me. I taught my now 9yo daugther to read -- it was a peice of cake. I'm teaching my now 6 yo son to read--the cake keeps falling and I'm scrambling to adapt the recipe! Maybe I'll have perfected it by the time I'm ready to teach my now 6 month old son to read!

    That's interesting! I liked her ending comments! :D

    I HAVE heard stories of why girls tend not to do as well in MATH. The opposite reason---teachers and math work tends to favor boys. In tests they did, teachers called on boys more often for answers, and gave more help to boys. I don't know what or who researched that, it was just something I read that was announced like this one about the reading.

    I would think that there is no disparity in the math either with homeschoolers! :D

    I wouldn't think there is, so far mine is getting A+'s on her report cards for math. I think homeschoolers do so much better all around, because of the individual attention. None of us care if they are a boy, or a girl. We teach them the same, regardless.
