Hello friends!! How are all of you? I hope that your weekends were all fantastic. We had a little bit of sun shine through, and the boys and I have been on our nightly walks- that feels good to stick to that! DH had Saturday off so we took advantage of the time to get some things done around the house. FIL came by and took a tree for his yard that the guys dug out- oh yeah, used some muscles on that day! lol Things like that though. I can't wait for the weather to warm up some, but the bugs are already coming out- that part I could do without! I did pretty good sticking to the food ideas that I came up with from the things we got at the store last week. I still have plenty of food for this week too, I just have to organize a plan to know when I am using the crockpot, etc. We were given two bags of onions this weekend, so I think I will try an onion soup or casserole in a day or two. I'd like to try and make like a french onion soup but have it in a casserole dish, with cheese and french bread pieces on top. I think the kids would eat that better than a soup. Maybe it needs some macaroni in it..... see, I'm thinking as we "speak". I measured Saturday, and have lost another inch at my waist and half an inch on my hips- so I'm happy with that. I probably won't get to my in-laws to weigh in until next weekend. So, everyone try and pop in and let us know how things are going. I'll check back early in the week too! Happy St Patrick's Day and have a blessed Holy week as well! Drink your water and kiss your kids! MT3
Wow, MT3! Your progress is impressive! What fun to share about the inches lost! We've been "doing trees," too--trees from all the storms from this winter and last. It's actually been more enjoyable working on dragging branches & cleaning up outside than doing repetitive exercises indoors, and I hope I used even more calories that way. I'm still not brave enough to measure inches, though the scales are almost back down to the previous 10-lb loss I had reported earlier. Boy! Those spikes in weight gain happen so fast, and the way back down is so tedious and slow. Our family was blessed to get to take in Handel's Messiah yesterday, performed by a full orchestra and choir in Lindsborg, KS. It was so thrilling! (The only thing that distracted was the soloist wearing a very low-cut dress which inspired anything but holy thoughts while she sang about the virgin conceiving the holy Son of God. It was such an obvious incongruity! I don't see how the directors could not see that and offer her an attractive scarf or something before she walked out on stage.) Anyway, we did have a great wkend. Thanks for asking! And blessings to you as well during this holy week and to everyone else, too!
I'm hanging right around the same weight , but have lost some inches. It's not going as fast as I had hoped, but I'm hanging in there. Prairie, you are so right about how quickly we can gain weight, and how much linger it takes to get it off.
Congratulations on the rapid progress! I have been able to stick to drinking about half the water I should be. I will continue to work on increasing it, I promise We will be cleaning out and combining two storage units this week so I have a feeling that I will be finding muscles I forgot existed... seeing as it is something that has to be done, I hope that I can get back to my regular walking next week after I recover.
Hi again friends. It sounds like a few of us have some extra chores happening. We have had a very busy week as well, so I am not on the computer very often. I've missed chatting with you all. Prairie Home- the performance sounds wonderful. I went to a Passion Play at an outdoor ampitheater in the woods of somewhere when I was younger- it was impressive! Hmm, I want to say the Ozarks, but not sure it was that far East.... Yeah Pam that you are seeing some inches lost. I am not losing as fast as I'd like, but I am noticing my clothes are fitting better. Hey mtnest- how's the storage units going? That can be hard work. When we moved the last time I had a box with a Dutch oven fall and hit me in the head- I really think I had a concussion, but with only myself and DH, and three young kids- who had time for a concussion? lol Well, I'm busy with church things- all of the bulletins for the weekend services, and we have soccer games tonight too. So I had better run and get busy. Take care all. Deena, we are praying and thinking of you and your mom. Happy Anniversary blessings! Drink your water and kiss your kids! MT3
I am about the same. I have been doing a lot of yard work and I am feeling it in my thighs, waist, and upper arms. This is a good thing!
