.... who thinks in terms of school years, not calendar years? I started school 25 years ago and was in school off and on until 2 years ago. A year ago we started planning for kindergarten. What I'm saying is that so far, my whole life thus far has revolved around school years. Last night my mom and I were talking about my chance to go to college for free in the fall. I said "next year". She asked if I meant in the Spring. I said no, in the fall. She asked if I meant this year. My mind immediately jumped to, "this fall has already passed". So finally it clicked (it only took a second, but it felt like forever). I said, "yes, this fall. Which is next school year." I mean, I picture everything in terms of school years. Am I just slow in the head or does anyone else struggle with this?
yeah, I still think of years in the same manner. I think we need to have a Homeschool New Year's Party in September. lol. To me that is really the new year. lol.
I am just thankful our school years do run to calendar years as I am sure I would be most confused otherwise!
The only thing for us that DOESN'T follow the school year is 4-H. We start in January, and go until October.
I'm almost 40 and I still do it. Haven't been IN school for a LOOOOOOOONG time...but yes...I still think in school years. That doesn't mean I SCHOOL on school years! LOL
