Seeing everyone is sharing recipes, I thought that I would ask what you all marinade your meat with. I don't have any marinade recipes that I love, their just okay. They usually end of being a little bit of this and some of that. Please share your recipes.
I buy my chicken at the market, and they will put it in a bag with one of 7 different marinades in it. Our favorite is probably Italian or Lemon Pepper. I freeze it in the marinade. If you're doing your own, I like Italian dressing. Here's one I use for London Broil. Again, I freeze the meat in the marinade. 1 tsp. ground ginger 1 tsp. lemon zest 1 tbs. vegetable oil 1 tsp. crushed garlic 1 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. light brown sugar Here's another that's also good for beef: 2 tsp. Worchestershire sauce 1/4 cup red wine vinegar 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/2 tsp. crushed garlic
I usually marinade in a bbq sauce. I make different ones depending on what we're eatting. We are big BBQ'ers
We like bold and spicy A1 sauce on steak and pork. It really makes the meat tender. We have also used regular A1.
We use something called Dale's or the same thing called Moore's (the Moore's doesn't have as much salt as the Dale's) An actual recipe I have for steak calls for 1/3 c. cooking oil 2/3 apple cider vinegar 3 tbls salt Only have to marinade about 1 and half to 2 hours. Not longer cause you don't want the meat to get "mushy" Ann
I don't measure. But for a london broil I'll sometimes put it in a big ziplock with: terriyaki sauce, red wine vinegar, a drizzle of olive oil, worcheshire sauce, garlic or garlic powder, a quarter of a sliced onion and Pepper.
I don't measure either.... But I "eyeball" it and put: Olive oil Red wine (or balsamic) vinegar 2 cloves crushed garlic 2 tbs (about) dijion mustard salt/pepper (freshly cracked) Marinate at room temp for about half hour OR in fridge up to 4 hours. I also make that honey-citrus viniagrette dressing (1/4 cup each honey, olive oil and fresh lemon/lime/orange/grapefruit juice, then add 2 cloves crushed garlic and salt and pepper) and use that as a marinade....that one is especially nice with chicken!
