nope not a nother sweet treet, this pizza is a cheese pizza that when you slice looks like candy corn, made it last night for the kids, it was cute! I made each kid their own little pizza but you can just make one big one. You make your own pizza crust then spred with pizza sauce, make a ring around the top near where the outer crust is with cheddar cheese, (shredded 1 cup) then you mix 1 cup or a little less with about 1 tablespoon paprika this is the middle ring of cheese and goes next to the cheddar. In the center sprinkle mozzerella cheese. You should have a bullseye effect. When you slice into wedges you will have yellow, orange and white looking like a big candy corn.

    pizza crust:
    2 1/4 t. yeast (one packet)
    1 1/2 c. warm water (110 degrees)
    1-2 T. brown sugar
mix together and let set for 10 minutes
mix in 2 T. olive or veg. oil
    1 t. salt
    3 1/3 c. flour
mix in salt and oil. Mix in 2 1/2 cups flour and then add remaining flour until you have a good dough. Kneed for about 2-3 minutes then place in a bowl drizzle with oil and cover with plastic wrap or clean towel let rise in warm place until double (if you are in a hurry turn oven on to 425 and set bowl ontop of oven) when ready to use punch down and place dough on pan give it a few minutes to rest before pushing out to edge. Top as you like and bake at 425 for about 20 minutes If you don't need all for your crust use the rest for your bread sticks.

Thanks, ABall! This recipe sounds delicious! And really cute! ;-D

Is this crust a thin crust, or more like pan pizza? I have a recipe for a good pizza crust, but it rises some and I'd love to find an authentic Italian thin crust recipe. I've experimented with less yeast, but still haven't gotten it right.

    Blessings,

the crust recipe makes enough for a very large pizza or 6 individual ones or last night I just made it for the kids and it made 4 individual pizzas and 8 bread sticks. Just roll it out as thin as you want, (make sure you give it some time to rest so it rolls easier) and prick it with a fork so it doesn't rise much, and keep and eye on it to see if the thinner crust gets done faster.

also, some of the kids like peperoni and I diced it up and put it on the cheese part that has the paprika. (to paprika doesn't have much flavor but adds color--or it just means I don't use very fresh paprika)
