I know I have seen Organic Valley around here somewhere, I just can't remember where.

Otherwise it's just store name brand milk that I see.

The organic milk I buy isn't on that list. It's a local farm (just a few miles from my house). It even comes in glass bottles :)

It tastes a heck of a lot better than any mainstream organic I've ever tried. Of course raw is best, but I'd have to drive over an hour each way to get that.

We have two sources around here for farm fresh milk. One Raw, one organic.

They are tiny bit too far to buy ALL the time, but when I can, I do.

    I like the Raw best....but it's EXPENSIVE!!!!

I would LOVE To get some raw milk. Hubby said he won't drink it though. He's afraid he will get sick. We found a lady at the ladies retreat I went to last week that gives raw milk as a ministry. By law she can't sell it but she allows donations that go toward her feed fund. I'm VERY interested in it and may be finding more info on it. BUT can you get sick from it or is it just one of those things that we worry about because we are just used to the junk the stores sell?

It's not that expensive here. Well, it is but not compared to regular milk. I pay $4/gallon at the farm, at the drug store I saw a sign for $3.99/gallon. I guess that's normal, I don't shop the milk section of the grocery store.

We buy raw milk too and have been doing that for almost two years now. He also sells raw cream, cottage cheese and some cheese and butter milk too.

    Try www.localharvest.org too
Our local provider is inspected each week so we know he is very clean.

I also milk our own goat and make cheese from the milk which is sooo good. I perfer cows milk to goat milk but I will drink the goats its just that the cow is all rich in creamy.

I think people who are so used to that watery low fat, skim milk wont like regular milk because of it being rich and creamy. People in our group whos kids have had asthma find their kids are doing a lot better. People like myself that are lactose find out we can drink it without our stomach curling since the enzymes are still there to help digest.

Heck I didnt even know milk actually had vitamin C in it but when they boil it to death it kills it and many other vitamins.

My advice is if you find a place make sure to inspect it yourself if they are not certified to sell raw milk. (depends on state) Beware of the ones that arent inspected make sure they are clean find out their cleaning procedures and how often they check the milk for stuff in it, and how long they have been doing it.

Here near San Antonio there is some people selling goat milk saying hint hint its suppose to be sold as animal consumption they say however not only are they suppose to label it but they are suppose to dye it as well to sell as animal use. I see their operation going down soon.

    Sam
