I was thinking the same thing as Kris that I can't believe how fast time has gone on our end but I'm sure for you it has seemed like forever. Also, I've been amazed at how much you have changed in the past year and that is a compliment girl! You sound so at peace with everything in your life.

Last night, DH came home.
He is "Grounded" today, by order of his DW.

I read to him what I wrote and he go to see all of ya'lls replies. You did it to him again. Ya made this big guy cry.

we are home today and not going ANYwhere! hahaha!

Jack, we're all soooo very glad you're home today, with your wife and children! Family takes on such a bigger meaning after something like this, doesn't it?

And God, He's the One that brought you through Buddy! Well, aside from all the major prayers going on here from the ladies at Homeschool Spot. We seem to have an extra-special connection somehow with the Big Man!

Thank you for sharing. I was not on this board last year. Boy I was on the edge of my seat and wiping tears. PRAISE GOD that he brought your hubby home to you even if he had a few "dents" to "knock out"!!!

As I read I can remember many times I have called hubby's phone if he is late. I tell him just tell me your ok...it's hard enough when things run through your mind, but to hear sirens or in your case a chopper it just adds to it!!!

I have held back responding because what happened to your dh is such a terrible emotional tragedy. My father passed away in a very terrible car accident, it's been some years but when I think about it my emotions are still very raw. Unfortunately, the person who caused my dad's accident drove away and left my father to pass away. The day before my dad left on his trip I had a terrible darkness come over me and felt if I hugged him good bye it was going to be forever. So I didn't, I regret not hugging my dad because I missed saying good bye.

Thankfully your dh is around to share your lives together, to bless you and for you and your kids to bless him each and every day. May God bless you all.

Difficult situations like this have always led us to suffer emotionally but God allows it. Why?

I was touched when I read both of your stories, it reminds me of James 1:2-4. In short, we ought to consider it pure joy when we face trials - develops perserverance - to become mature and complete.

Both of you have put your trust in the Lord and I praise God for it, Amen.
