Good for you Jackie!!! I still need to buy some things. Now you can have a great summer and not have to think about it.:) We are going to have to get together again. I would love to go visit Ava after she has the baby, but these gas prices are killing me.:(

Jackie, does Philip's language arts integrate reading, phonics, and spelling? I'm not familiar at all with R&S.

R & S is really strong. It doesn't have frills (or color) but is very thorough. We're using it next year for my girls and the 2nd grade book is waiting in the wings for my 1st grade son  My oldest is 5th grade so I haven't seen the 8th grade books but I can't imagine that it doesn't continue the thoroughness.

Becky, R&S that I'm using is just English/Grammar. I don't formally teach reading OR phonics once a child learns the basics of reading. We do all that informally. My "mom time" is Phillip's Silent Reading time, and *I* get to pick the books! He has a fairly extensive reading list!

That is awesome... I am almost done. I know a few books needed but I am waiting until the 7th when our big sale is. If I can't find them there then I will order the 9th.
