A friend of mine just suggested Julianna. It is sounding good to me but so did some other names that I hate now. LOL. Geesh....I can't wait until this is over. I think I will write down names my dh and I can live with and decide once the baby is born.

Maybe we can arrange a meeting! I know G'ma was saying we need to get together again sometime. Though not at Cedar Point; that wouldn't be in my budget. There's a nice state park with camping not far from Cedar Point, BTW, called East Harbor. Let me know if you're coming through central Ohio. Or we could meet near where Ava lives. (I'm still partial to Oak Openings!)

Ava I met a girl named Julianna this weekend. She is 17 and came with her mom to a crawfish boil our neighbor had. Very nice, very pretty, very sweet girl. I love that name. I like Juilianna Elise.

    My dh HATES Julianna! LOL.

Jackie: I am not familiar with Oak Openings...am I? LOL. Did we discuss that before. I will try to look it up.

Now, wait...does this mean you all won't come up to help with my new baby. I was really looking forward to a tribe of babysitters. LOL. Just kidding!

    Ava,

Actually the BEST name is (and was--Jackie just butted in and put her name first! ;) ) Deena Kristine Jacqueline, or Kristine Deena Jacqueline!!!

My dd's name is Alanna Joy (Uh-law'-nuh). She is beautiful, intelligent and wonderful! So I think you should pick that name! It goes well with Aaron, Alyssa and Olivia!

There is a couple in our church who named their dd Abriella. She is the sweetest and cutest little baby (aside from mine of course)!

Another family has an adorable little curly-haired red-head named Arella. She's a sweety!

Ava, I love all of Deena's name the ones I like the best are Deena Kristine Jacqueline, that just has a wonderful ring to it. Have you ran that by dh head yet. I know he will love it.
but, just in case he don't the other names Deena mention are so pretty and will go with the other children name.

I still like Abriella but my dh thought it sounded nuts. Maybe once he hears someone else named their kid that he wont' think I am insane. LOL.

I love the name Alanna! I have not heard of Arella but it has a pretty ring to it.

Here is a link to a website that has some sarcastic humor comments posted under real posts from baby name discussion forums. I read this when I was doing the baby name thing and it was insightful, funny and also produce anger, but that is how pregnancy it. LOL

    http://notwithoutmyhandbag.com/babynames/index.html

It is even funnier when you are not in baby name mode...really. I especially like "brought to you by the letter y"

Somehow we managed to name two kids. It is really hard to believe looking back.

    Here is what we did:

We eliminated all names already in both sides of family for two gens back. We refused to play the middle name from this or that side of the family for each kid etc. etc etc.

Okay that elinated alot of choices. My dh had two names he really liked. I did not want to use them both on the first it was a bit too much to me because they are both very Irish names and I thought it a bit of overkill being that I am not Irish.

We just read names out of lists randomly, in order, etc etc then we jotted down any name that seemed to catch one or the other's attention. We then went through and nixed the ones we did not like from each others entries. We then played around with mixing and matching other names on the list with our top list.

We ended picking what we had pretty much settled on ourselves right off both times. It was the input from outside that made it tough and confusing etc. We just started tuning it out and took alot of names "into consideration" and "added alot to the list of names we would test the sound of" (for calling hogs, LOL)

Its your baby and the name will come if not now later. It will be just right so don't worry.

I say go with Alanna! My dd has been the sweetest thing! She's NEVER thrown a tantrum (that should do it for ya right there! ;) ), she's musical, she adores me (another GREAT positive!), she has a beautiful smile, she's intelligent, happy, cheerful and sweet......I mean, what more could you ask?!

My Alyssa adores me also...maybe it is "A" names...LOL. She is always singing, "mommy's the best!" LOL. She is everything you described Alanna to be EXCEPT she has thrown tantrums. LOL. Not many and she calms down quickly and easily but she is not innocent of tantrums. In fact, just today she cried pretty hard because her sister cut her barbie's hair. LOL. Now, before you are too hard on Olivia...Olivia was trying to save Barbie. Barbie happened to get wet and her hair smelled like mildew. So, in Olivia's mind she wondered if cutting the hair would help. It did not of course. lol.
