    Hello peoples!
I was wondering if anyone is planning to do the Horizon PE course next year? It goes to 6th grade now and I am wondering if its like health and PE in one or what? How do you put PE in a book?

What do you do for PE? We start out with excersise and wing it for most of the year throwing in Baseball and Soccer as they come up, Gymnastics when available...
    :?

My kids are quite active with friends. We also do walking and minor weights. The neighborhood kids play basketball, wiffle ball, softball, football, kickball, soccer, biking, skateboarding, and scootering! Since we try to finish our classwork before the local kids get home from school, they get a LOT of exercise that way! In fact, they get more with that than if I ran a PE program for them. We discuss health issues, etc. so I feel they get PLENTY of strong exercise, know how to play sports, keep physically active and know a lot of health concepts.

My oldest two take dance classes once a week during Sept-April; like Deena's kids they get a lot of exercise and playing some sport related things with the neighborhood children, and sometimes I just take them in the back yard and do something. When I take them out, at this point we work on kicking/throwing/catching balls, run, stretch before going out. Since they're so young still. We unschool health, and with that have learned quite a bit so I feel we don't need a structured curriculum for that subject. Sometime health topics come up in our science lessons too.

I don't plan a PE class. My kids play outside everyday. They are either rollerblading or bike riding or running around playing games. My oldest takes two dance classes a week and my youngest takes one.
