We've picked up a virus from y'all again! Of course I'm joking but it is funny how these silly bugs make their way around the country. I came down with the sore throat on Sun and then started the fever on Mon. I'm still not feeling up to par and then Joyce started running a fever last night. She was at 103 at one point! Kris, she looks like how you described your dd a few weeks ago! The dgds had it last week and normally I don't get sick behind them but this time I did. I'm glad we aren't schooling right now because we sure wouldn't have gotten anything done! The really weird part is it sounds like a virus that my mom said made the rounds up north this past winter.
Oh My Stars Jennifer, you make me laugh which I needed today. Not because you all are sick but how you said it. Anyway I hope you all get well soon, lots of liquids and rest is the best.

Isn't being sick in hot weather the worst? I hate being sick any time, but in the summer it seems to bug me worse. Hope all you guys are feeling better soon and please don't send it to NC!
Beth, I'll gladly send it out to sea! I'm thankful the heat wave broke before this stuff hit. I had a headache almost all of last week and originally the heat was what I blamed it on but now I'm figuring I was getting what the babies had. The little one kept holding her head and saying "owie". She was a little out of whack yesterday and I was afraid she was getting it again but I suspect her's might be teeth now.
Oh I hate having a headache! I had horrible headaches for many years until they finally figured out it was coming from my blood pressure. Sounds simple enough to figure out, but they always thought my bp was up due to the headaches when it was actually the other way around. I had headaches because my bp was too high. Now it is normal and I hardly ever have a headache. Hope everyone at your house is getting better.
These bugs make their way due to people traveling. Ds and I were in Taco Bell and there was a family traveling from another state, the dad comes out of the bathroom and the little girl says, "Did you throw up again"? He had the stomach virus. I am sure he wasn't concerned about where he spread his germs as he was already sick. Hope you are feeling better!
Katie, I was talking to my mom about it on Sun (before I felt bad) about how the dgds were acting and that their eyes looked like pink eye and she replied "that virus is still going around?" and I told her that we had never had it. I couldn't resist messing with Kris because awhile back they had had some crazy virus and then we got it here a couple of weeks after that.
Yea, Jennifer My stars I haven't traveled in a while so I didn't get it to you. MamaBear says its from people traveling. My stars what do you think I gave it to you on the net girlfriend. I wish I had those kind of powers. LOL Any way on a nice note I hope you all are feeling bad it's not fun stuff to get.
All that time I thought that's what a computer virus did!:lol: What does a young-un like me know?! I hope it doesn't hang around long. I'm not used to seeing my dd just lay in the bed the entire day!
Rough night last night - she ran a fever of over 104 and she normally runs on the low side. She felt so lousy this morning and something told me to check her throat. It looked horrid with these nice white spots on both sides so I figured it had to be strep. I took a chance on a new walk-in clinic our dr's office now has and we were in and out in no time. No strep, though! The dr was even shocked because it looked like that was going to be the diagnosis. I do feel better that I took her in because I've been scared that is what I have and I have no insurance. Hey Kris, I was talking to my mom about "oh my stars" and she started laughing and said "oh my stars and garter belts" and I was like "huh?"! She said that is how she heard it growing up and could never figure out what stars and garter belts had in common!
I don't know what stars and garters belt got in common, but my stars I am glad you had her checked out . I started another Thread before I read this one, sorry.
hoping y'all are nowhere near KY. I won't allow it, nope I will not allow illness in the summer! hope those of you suffering are feeling better soon though.
