We really enjoy doing that all snug in our home early in the morning while the ps kids have to get on the bus in rainy 40 degree weather.;)

We do a little bit of everything. Some days we're all up and dressed (especially if we have to be some place later). Other days we're all in our PJs until noon and then get dressed during our lunch break. Other days, they all stay in their PJs and mom is dressed first thing. I have one child who would live in PJs 24/7

If they have their PJs on and I notice that concentration is lacking....then I'll have them take a break and get dressed to see if that helps. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

We're kind of like Rhonda...it varies by day. I haven't noticed a big correlation here between productivity and clothing. Especially in the warmer months, they love going around in just a pair of shorts, not getting fully dressed until they're ready to go outside or we need to go somewhere. Of course, sometimes that IS the first thing on our agenda.

Personally, I hated the whole high-pressure, get showered/dressed/eat by a certain time each morning when they were in school. But I am not a morning person at all! However, if it seemed to make them work better, I might try it.

All of us seem to enjoy a slower start to the day around here.

AMEN!!!!!!!!!! Our overall daily attitude is better because we don't start out our day yelling about racing to meet the school bus, the forgotten lunch bag, etc.

I'm not a morning person either....2 of my 3 kids aren't really either although they do better than Mommy. My son would wake the roosters (if we had any).

Even though we often have things to do during the school week, we try to manage them during times that won't interfere with our daily AM ritual (which includes not starting before dawn cracks )

Our dressing depends on if we're going out or not, but typically we're not in PJs. We're either in "play clothes"--sweats, ratty T-shirts, shorts, or in "errand clothes"--something clean, casual...go to the library and store sort of things.

Yeah, that's us many time too. More than half the time, my kids sleep in "play clothes" rather than actual pjs. They like little cotton shorts and t-shirts for bed just as much as actual pjs. I tend to wear sweat or yoga pants and t-shirts as jammies myself.

My kids are morning people, and get dressed right away, out of habit mostly. There has been the occasional day when I started school with them in my pjs (when I'm not baby-sitting!) and got showered and dressed in the middle of the day. My daughter told me, "I didn't know teachers could wear their jammies to school!". :) I try hard to be structured, but am not really a morning person!

My son has a school uniform... It's a batman costume complete with cape. I do make him take his mask off before we start.

I have found we do best in our jammies!! My older son really seems to work best right after he gets up. When we shower, eat, and then get dressed it seems like school does not go as smooth???????

We are very laid back. I get dressed, but my son does half his chores and starts school in pj's. Then when we break for lunch, he gets dressed so he can go outside. He works the same whether dressed or not. I think it depends on the mindset of the child. My daughter was definitely more motivated when dressed.

We are the type to get up, shower + dress...feels more natural to be up and ready to go for the day.
Staying in pj's just makes me feel lethargic.

Also, if we need to quickly head out, we can (or if someone pops over we are dressed)

I personally feel so unready and dirty if I stay in my pj's.

I always say, "Well, I have smoldered long enough, time to take a shower". I am showered by at least 7am. The guys are showered by 5am and 7am.

If you want company, guaranteed around here, stay grungy and someone will show up to visit. LOL
