Please keep Freddy in your prayers. He has been having a lot of pain and we and the doctor think he had a kidney stone that was acting up. It would hurt and then nothing for a couple of weeks and it would act up again. He went to the doctor on Thursday of last week and then worked Saturday and on Sunday was so sick he stayed home and went back to the doctor yesterday. Today he went for a scan and they say now that he has Crohn's Disease. We were totally blindsided by this news. Our oldest son has Crohn's and has suffered from it for 23 years. He is doing great right now and has been for a few years, but he really suffered when he was a young teenager. I don't know what is going to happen with Freddy. He goes back to the doctor on Monday, but I think he may get in earlier when our doctor sees the report from the hospital. She is very fond of our family and works with us to hurry things along. She is great. Please pray for Freddy. He is such a good man and works so hard. I have loved him for 37 years and when he suffers so do I. Thank you all. Beth
I understand how when your loving dh hurts, that you hurt too. My husband has had episodes of Trigeminal Neuralgia. It was horrible and I felt helpless. Lifting you both up in prayer.
I think our son who has Crohn's, Matthew, was more shocked than we were. He said now he knows where he got it, but we are telling him his daddy got it from him. Matthew said his pain when he had flare ups was exactly where Freddy is hurting. I guess it just didn't dawn on him that his daddy could have Crohn's or he would have said something when they were talking about Freddy feeling so bad. Thanks for your prayers. Beth
Beth, I've been wondering how he is doing and somehow missed this when I was on here this morning. Does it ever stop raining?! You know I'll be praying for your family. Keep smiling girl!
Beth, so sorry to hear about Freddy! We will be praying for him and praying he gets relief from the pain. Tell Bill that Elijah has a letter for him that he will mail out tomorrow
Beth, let Freddy know we are praying for him and you as well to have the strength to take care of him. I know what you mean by being with them for so long you begin to think like them. My dh and I been together over 30 years and he is my best friend we have so much fun together.
I'm glad you're blessed with a doctor who genuinely cares. That makes a huge difference in a lot of ways.
I talked to the doctor today and they are sending Freddy to a specialist. We are waiting to see when he appointment will be. The doctor's office makes the appointment for you. I wish they would say they can see him tomorrow, but that won't happen. He is hurting off and on and feeling kind of yucky, but he took the girls to a library program today about magic.
Thank you all. He has to go back to work tomorrow and will be working 12 hours each day Friday, Sat, and Sunday. I am worried that it is too much for him, but he says he has to go. The distribution center he works at has been letting people go right and left and we really need this job. Being retired isn't all it is cracked up to be when you still have kids at home. It isn't fair, but if you retire from the highway patrol you can get another job in law enforcement and draw retirement, but if you retire from the sheriff's dept. (like Freddy did) you can't work in law enforcement again without losing your retirement benefits. That is so frustrating. Sorry for complaining. We are thankful for his job and just pray his health will improve so working isn't too hard on him. Thank you for your prayers. Beth
