I looked at the Singapore Science books today at sgbox.com and found 3rd+4th grade science, all new books, came to $39.99! That is half the price from rainbowresource, it is the new edition that has a lot more stuff in it and the experiments are included in the textbooks.

Yey! I can't wait to tell hubby what an amazingly frugal wife he has!

And from what I have read in the reviews, there is no evolution in the books either!

Sounds like a great deal! I'm sure your dh will be proud of you! :D How high does their science go? I think we're actually past that though. We have science for this coming year AND the next year already for dd! She's doing NOEO Chemistry II until it's done, then will move into Rainbow Science which I got for a great deal! We'll have to see where she's at and what she wants to do when she finishes these sciences!

The science program goes through highschool, I believe. I will try this program and if it's good we will keep going! :)

Are these the same as the ones from singapore.com and the rainbowresouce. I was looking at the earlybird kindergarden the number of books don't add up to be the same. Unless of course I am mistaken

At the singapore website I see 2 student textbooks, 2 student activity books, and 2 teacher books. Then a whole bunch of readers and other extra books.

At the sgbox website there are like 3 excel books and 3 other books, then 3 of another kind etc. I didn't see any place to see a picture of it or anything like that. Which frustrates me to no end.

At RR they are only a dollar cheaper then the SGBOX, but way cheaper then the singapore website. and only have the 1A &B and 2A&B

Can you all help me figure out what is what?

Nope! They are not the same. They do have the same ones, the MPH books, but the ones I am looking at are called i-Science.

The sgbox website has a lot of different curriculums from Singapore and good prices too.

I just wish I was able to find more info about what the difference between them is. They seem to cover the same things.

I also bought the i-Science books (all 6 for under $40) and couldn't stop talking about it to anyone who would listen.

I am just praying that these great prices continue as the years pass.

I just took a look at the publishers site and there is a comparison chart. Going by what is available, it would seem like the i-science is intended to be used independantly to a greater extent. They dont have testing materials and other things that might be used with a group.

I thought that the publisher was a little skimpy with the sample pages available for view on the website.

So has anyone actuallu used these materials, and if so what did you think?

I-science has been discontinued by Singapore.

Well I just went over to the site you posted and then I broke out my I science 3 and I science 4, now mine is in 2 textbooks and 4 work books, but all the content is the same. Like the i-science primary 3 textbook I have has 141 pages, instead of the individual books that the other site is offering.

Also I have used the MPH and I science I like I science better.

Well off to what I was posting for, I am trying to sell these if you would like them. Pm me if you are interested, I will sell for cheap!
