We finished our first week of school for the year! Woo-hoo!
It makes me feel so much better once we've started, rather than all the stressing that comes before-hand. :p

We did too. Our first week back was great! It's a lot better for my kids to be doing school every day.

We are just finishing school for the year. We don't go back till September. Have you just had your summer holiday?

We took off from the end of May until the 13th of July. Not a very long summer, but I've found Will does best when we have lots of smaller breaks rather than one really long one.
I've actually thought about hs year round, but I'm not sure exactly how that would work out. I plan on checking into that more as the year progresses. Right now though, the plan is to school through the 2nd week of Nov, have the baby, then probably school a week or so between then and Christmas, taking a week off for Christmas as well, then school on through the end of May.
Last year we did K work, though he wasn't registered yet bc of his birthday. This is our first real official year. :D

Oh, I feel like such a veteran. We have done 4 weeks now. Wow!

But next week my son is going on a boat trip with my parents. I am VERY pregnant so I don't feel up to it. I think. Hmmm... homeschooling on a boat? Why not?

That could be very interesting! There would be lots of activities to count towards school, no doubt. ;)
So when are you due? I'm due the day before Thanksgiving. I expect I'll need at least a few weeks off when he arrives.

I am due in mid-September. This is my first baby and I have never in my life felt so big and cumbersome.

We just finished our first week of this year too. Already reminds me why I just love homeschooling.. nothing went quite as I planned..lol

Way to go getting that first week under your belt. Before you know it you will be finishing up the year and the thoughts will pop into your head "and I was so worried".

Yeah, and then the next year's curriculum will need to be decided on and I'll be stressing all over again! LOL
HSing really is such an exciting, stressful, crazy thing, isn't it!?! I just love it!

crazy.. hmmmm I don't know anything about crazy..lol.

I actually choose what we are going to use through the year.. and spend all year surfing ebay, half and amazon. But like I said in your year around thread, we are very relaxed and don't follow a curriculum really anyway..lol. I just really try to make sure there are some new science and social studies things in the house each year.
