My Grandpa on my Mom's side has been sick for a long time. He retired due to his illness when I was in the 4th grade. He is now on Hospice and We were told that he is very close to passing on. He and my Grandmother have been married for 54 years now. Could you please pray for her. I know this is going to be very difficult for her. She is an amazing Godly woman. These last 5 years have been especially hard for her. She stood by my moms side when she passed from cancer and was a rock to the rest of us even though we know it was hard. she held fast to her faith and the fact that my mom is with God now. Just keep her in your prayers Also my Grandma on my Dad's side has just found out that she has breast cancer. She had surgery to remove it and was told that they didn't get it all. She will be having surgery again tomorrow. This lady has NEVER ever been sick other than the occasional cold but those were few and far between. So this has been a shock to us all. Thank you
I pray that God will give you the strength to be the rock for your Gramma this time. It is difficult to lose a spouse after so many years.
my sister called last night and in the background I could hear my 4 year old niece crying and saying "please don't let him die". My sister said she was grabbed onto her leg and she didn't know what to do. She couldn't get her to calm down. So pray for my niece to have peace as well. She is 4 and has a tender heart. A few months back she was crying over my Mom's death and she never knew my Mom.
Thank you for the continued prayers. My Grandpa is still with us. It's getting tough. He has become combative and is now having to be medicated to controll him. He is still extremely weak but when he has these sperts he gets VERY strong. He has been trying to pull out his cathater and talking about persons who have past on already. It so hard to see this man going through this. He was such a jokester in his better days. And an awesome person to listen to. I loved hearing his stories about growing up homeless. How he lived under bridges and such. Such an inspiring person. Everything he had was so appreciated after living without for so long. I hate to see him go. He says the Angels are calling him. He can hear them singing. It's his time.
My Grandpa has gone home to be with the Lord. Thank you for all the prayers. Please continue to pray for my Grandma. This is going to be a big change for her. They would've been married 55 years in October. Angie
I will continue to pray! This time can't be easy for any of you. May God richly bless you and fill your hearts with His love---that would be good for your grandma to hear--that God is especially now filling her with HIS love, the best kind of love there can be! He hasn't left her, He is filling in for your grandpa until they see each other again! (((((BIG HUGS!!!)))))
I went to visit my Grandma today. This lady is a ROCK!! UNSHAKABLE in her faith. I look up to her so much. She's holding up very well. She knows that he is with the Lord. She told me that there are things much worse than death. While I'm going to miss my Grandpa I'm SO glad that he is not ill and suffering any longer. He has a BRAND new body!! And he gets to see my Mom and others who have passed on before him. I'm sure that my Grandma is going to have some very hard days ahead but I KNOW that her faith will get her through. God is so good.
