I was wondering if anyone has used them and how did they like them. Was there alot for you to do? I mean like grading or keeping records. This is our first year to use them for 9th grade. Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks. I would like your honest opinion.

I think the most qualified one to speak on this is Katie (MamaBear). Her boys went all the way through highschool using them, and she's got nothing bad to say about them! :)

We just used it some. We didn't like the language as well, but LOVED the history and science.

She's online here usually. You can go to the user list and click on her name and pm her. If she sees this message I'm sure she'll respond!

Deena was correct, we LOVE Abeka!

We used Abeka Academy for high school to give the boys a different side of school instead of it being mom doing all of the teaching.

    The way it works:
They send you some videos, not all of them, the student views one lesson per day. The teacher is video taped in an actual classroom with actual students. All of the questions that my ds' had were always answered by the teacher as other students had the same questions. They do the lessons as instructed by the teacher and I would grade them. You can do program 1 or 2. The first, Abeka keeps the grades and transcripts and the other you do. It was quite easy.

What grade (s) are you looking at?
